This was my first visit. My friend treated me to a belated birthday dinner. The Nana’s Shrimp appetizer was good, its presentation beautiful. The crab fingers were not at all what we expected. We were done after one bite. The gumbo had a nice flavor, the shrimp was great, and the poboy was a good hearty size. Dessert, cheese cake and build your own sundae, was delicious. The one drawback was my cheesecake came to the table with a dirty spoon. I got clean fork and indulged in the sweetness.

Stopped by Floyd’s today because it was cold outside and I was craving something warm and comforting. I ordered the hot chicken and sausage gumbo, and it absolutely hit the spot. The gumbo was excellent—rich, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for on a chilly day.
I always look forward to the hush puppies so I can dip them into my roux, but this time they were a bit stale, which was disappointing since they’re usually very good.
Hubby got the Mahi tacos, he said they were excellent.
Even with that small hiccup, the food overall was still satisfying, and Floyd’s continues to be one of my go-to spots when I want hearty, comforting food. I’ll definitely be back and chalk this one up to an off moment rather than the norm.

Catfish Dinner Half and Shrimp Dinner 6ct was perfect size and an awesomely priced! The other review wasn’t kidding when they said Floyds is generous with the fries.
Flavor was delicious. Savory and comfort food at its best. Fish was flaky — looked like catfish but didn’t taste like it. Wasn’t bad, just odd that it didn’t taste like catfish.
Shrimp was great as well. Fried extra crispy was the way to go for sure. When received the fish and shrimp was still warm but the fries were soggy. I put them in the air fryer for a few minutes, it helped a little bit but went back to cold and soft fast.
When selecting the sauce, the choices were: cocktail, tartar, and “LB”. I’m thinking that’s lemon pepper butter(?) but honestly unsure. I tried it and it had no flavor lol.
It was good to try but I probably won’t order the fried stuff again. I would like to try the blacken next time!

Stopped by to give this place another shot and WOW. It really is back packed to the way it used to be. Adi the new bartender is seriously holding that place down he really is intuitive and foresees what you might need and beats you to it before you even ask for it, and he is so much fun to conversate with. Had a surprisingly pleasant experience, not like what we expected coming in, because it’s really been dwindling down since covid. 10/10 will be back!!

I used to love this location. The service and the food were not great today. The food was mediocre at best. The food was not hot when it was brought to us.
My daughter’s crawfish didn’t have much season and looked overcooked. Oysters were horrible. I ordered the Half & Half (crawfish). They increased the rice portion and decreased the crawfish- under seasoned.
The drinks were terrible. Watered down. Also, we noticed the staff were not communicating. Drinks were being made by the bartender and just sitting at the bar in this spot, uncovered and unattended. When our waiter finally came to the table with the first drink, the ice was almost completely melted. We sent it back and ordered another drink. We had to look for the waiter to make sure he didn’t let this one sit. We observed other people’s drinks sit for long periods. They need a new system for that.
The smell outside was so bad, it made my stomach turn. We originally planned on sitting outside, but chose to sit inside by a window due to the stench outside.
Parking- well there was a wreck while we were there today. Someone backed into the suv next to us. It’s not a lot of space in the back. They do have more space on the side.
We do not plan on returning and I wouldn’t recommend this location to my family and friends. This used to be one of my favorites. It’s unfortunate to see it go down.

Food was a real disappointment. The fried green tomato was too thick. I expected several thin pieces and we got three thick pieces to divide between two people. My onion rings tasted rubbery like they were warmed over. My husband’s fries also tasted warmed over. The worst onion rings I have ever eaten. The shrimp and oysters were good. I think my husband’s burger was good. The service was adequate. The eye appeal was great but the taste was not. Doubtful we will go back.

Highly recommend. Been coming here since they opened decades ago. This place is a 5 out of 5 all the time. On site, the outside seating and sometimes live entertainment is awesome. The separate bar has a cool vibe too. They have more different kinds of cooked oysters on the half-shell than I even knew existed. However, if you get it delivered I suggest you call the restaurant if you want extra sauces since it’s not an option in the app. I was wondering why they had a 4.2 because they have a 5 star reputation locally. Seriously, I don’t get how people order fried food for delivery and don’t understand why something might not be as crispy as when eaten on site. SMH.

The “Dawg shrimp” appetizers were excellent!. The fried alligator was not overcooked or tough.
I had the grilled salmon (no seasoning per my request) and asparagus. My friend had the flounder Fried with some sauce. All were excellent. My only complaint was the lava cake was a bit on the dry side. Will come back again!
