We have only the best things to say about Erin and the team at Flour & Flower! They made our wedding cake (vanilla cake with raspberry jam filling and lemon buttercream) and and it looked beautiful and tasted so delicious. We also ordered a variety of baked goods the morning our of wedding and it was such a lovely start to the day. Stopping at Flour & Flower is always a must for us when we’re in the area!

Had to check this out after hearing such great things. I ordered online and stopped by to pickup. There was a line out the door but it’s worth the wait. Friendly staff as well. I enjoyed THE cookie, a croissant loaf (always enjoy finding those in bakeries), fresh granola, and brown butter chocolate chip banana bread. I have enjoyed everything so far, especially the croissant loaf. They even handed out free slices of cake to celebrate 5 years in business (delicious cake)! I need to try the Monday night pizza next.

Stopped in and picked up a piece of quiche, a loaf of sour dough bread and an asparagus, gruyere, prosciutto croissant. The croissant and the sour dough bread were fantastic. The quiche is self service out of a refrigerator and all of them had a “V” on it. Unfortunately I realized as I ate it this was vegetarian… I really didn’t love the texture of the eggs, so would suggest passing on the quiche. Service was very slow so be patient, but the requested tip range amount feels excessive for the level of service.

Plenty of pastries and meal options. Really enjoyed that they had a good seasonal drink selection. It’s a small area inside the shop but people didn’t seem to crowd.

Every week that I set foot into this little coffee cottage I feel as though I’ve been transported to a fairy cottage in a meadow. It’s delightfully inviting and honestly, the Americano is truly the best americano I have ever had! (My husband always enjoys the lattes). Which is why I visit every single week! The staff is always friendly and all the baked goods are hand made right there! We always grab a loaf of bread or a sweet pastry. It’s a bit out of view from the Main Street but if you see the little pink house behind Krewe, that’s where you’ll find this little gem!

Erin is nothing short of a master of her craft. I ordered a cake I could only describe as “fall vibes” for my elopement and she absolutely came through. The spiced vanilla cake was luscious and the fresh peach filling was divine. Her customer service was exceptional! She is an excellent communicator and very flexible. This was the most pleasant experience I’ve had with a bakery and I absolutely will be a returning customer. Thank you so much Erin!

Just moved to the area and have already been here several times. Have not been disappointed in anything we’ve tried. The bakery items are fresh and tasty. Love the salted maple latte!

This is a magical bakery! The shop is absolutely beautiful. Erin and her team create so many delicious treats it is hard to choose. Plenty to enjoy on their patio seating or stock up and bring some home. We will be back! The scones, lemonades, cookies and banana bread are must try’s!

Stopped by this St. Joseph favorite recently and realized that in all my times coming here, I still hadn’t left a review.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Flour and Flower is one of the best bakeries in Minnesota, as well as one of the state’s best kept secrets.
Last time I went, I got the Peach, Plum, & Apple Turnover, which was delicious and I can’t recall the last time I had plum anything! The Dark Chocolate Lavender Shortbread is to die for, as is the Salted Rosemary Shortbread. If like me you can’t choose, don’t and get both! Honestly, you really can’t go wrong. They also have an assortment of pies (matcha tea custard, anyone?), breads, cookies, pizzas (on pizza night — Monday from 5 to 8:30 p.m.), flowers, and super cute merchandise. If I could live there I just might.
You can find parking to the right hand side of the building or there is easy to find street parking on College Ave and W Minnesota St.
Note: This is not a sit down place and you won’t find seating.
The Most Important Note: Worried about Flour & Flower selling out before you get there (it happens!)? You can preorder food for pickup on their website.
If you’re in the cities, I recommend taking a little day trip up to St. Joseph, looking at all the cute shops, grabbing brunch at Krewe, some baked goods from Flour and Flower for the ride home (if you can wait!), and ending the day with a stop at, in my opinion, the best cidery in the state, Milk & Honey Ciders. Feel free to check out my reviews of both!
