In the StateView hotel. Only had the breakfast and it was delicious! Nice buffet with omelet and waffle station. A little pricey for I think 26 dollars, but I had breakfast vouchers because I’m a loyal Marriot member.

I made reservations for Valentine’s Day less than one month early and there was no mention of a special menu. Three days before Valentine’s, I receive an update through Open Table that they are doing a prix fixe menu. I am on meds and can only eat about the size of an appetizer. By now, everywhere is booked. It let you leave a question for management so I asked about this and no on responded. I cancelled our reservation nonetheless.

The service is very quick, efficient, and friendly. However, the food is overpriced and not worth the money. I will say the fries are AMAZING. I ordered the Hot & Sweet Chicken Sandwich for $17, and it was extremely sweet to the point of being inedible. The chicken was juicy, albeit flavorless and sticky with the sweet sauce. This sandwich is also not “Hot” at all, although the title suggests otherwise.

Skip this place.
I had the short rib and my wife has the filet… our meal came plated in bowls with everything just stacked up. Meat with tuff and lacked flavor. Best part of the meal was getting the check so we could leave.

Solid Southern food with generous portions – convenient breakfast option for hotel guests.

The Stateview gives Bonvoy Platinum guests breakfast vouchers. The vouchers include warm entree items with generous portions – such an egg white omelets, breakfast plates, and pancakes (see pictures). The restaurant service is very friendly but can be slammed at busy times (morning rush or in the evenings during a convention).

Before Covid 03/01/20. Went there for the first time. I had the Cajun Shrimp Chowder and Burger both were delicious. The chowder was so good I had to meet the chef who made it. He said it was his grandmother’s recipe. It was outstanding. Not sure if they sell it anymore. But they need to bring that back!

I have been coming here since the hotel first opened. I love the convenience of the restaurant. The food in general is good, not over the top amazing but solid good.
I do notice there is a lot of garlic and pickled onions on dishes. Personally I love them especially the pickled onion which adds such a nice pop on the breakfast egg ( red and white). The garlicky flavor is not my fav on the rice/pico in the roasted chicken dish. Did make me vampire resistant tonight after the dinner. Ha!

Happy eating.

I stayed three days at the hotel and had breakfast every morning. Vonny was great host/server! She welcome with big smile and ask how I was doing. She was very courteous, friendly and made sure my order was perfect. Thank you Vonny!

OMG. Laura is the best bartender I have ever had we drove 45 minutes just to see her and she make the best drinks. It’s a little pricier than we’re used to but she’s worth the drive. We have followed her for over four years. We shall return.
