This was my first time here and it did not let me down. Our server Alexia was amazing made sure my drink didn’t go empty and knew what was going on with it meal. Christof the owner came by our table and was also great made some amazing recommendations.

We both ordered the tomahawk ribeye was cooked to perfection! The market side bar comes with that and I tried almost all of it was great. Definitely recommend the lobster bisque.

Will 100% be going back!

Overpriced and bland. Me and the wife came out with some friends to celebrate her birthday. Got a reservation and were sat quickly. Order the rodizio and some cocktails. My wife’s drink was delivered with a tiny fly in it. It was taken back but took a while for her to get her replacement drink. Marketside table was fine. The food definitely lacks in seasoning, and when I say seasoning I mean the basic amount of salt. All the meats brought to the table were mostly hunks of fat. The house special Top sirloin was nothing but an oval with an inch and half thick fat ring. Pork belly was charred hunk of fat. Rib eye( which is my favorite cut) was just mostly fat. The only thing I was able to stomach was the sausage. I was expecting maybe slightly higher quality food but it fell far from that. If you do go I highly encourage you to use the Chimichurri on the meats because I believe heavy heartedly that they do not use any salt on their food.

My husband took me out for dinner to celebrate my birthday and let me tell you…as soon as you step in the atmosphere is very pleasant. While we sat to wait for our table the aroma was amazing. The food is delicious, the service is great but what I liked most is that the owners came by our table and asked my husband and I about the service and food. At first we thought he was a manager…he was very humble and I appreciate the birthday card I received. May God bless this family owned restaurant. Thank you for bringing a taste of Brazil cuisine and experience to Bakersfield. God bless

The Roduzio Grill is everything. I got here semi regularly and always order this with my family. This is one of my all time favorite places to eat in town. In my honest opnion its worth every penny because its simply that good. The food, the environment, the staff are all amazing. I always plan when I go and eat very little the day of so I can sit and really enjoy the food.

To preface, I genuinely wanted to leave a higher rating for this restaurant. This review is based on multiple visits, not a one-off experience. I’m sharing the consistencies I’ve noticed over time, both positive and negative, in the hope that ownership can continue building on what they do well while addressing areas that need improvement. I also hope this provides a fair, objective perspective for potential customers, as well as those who may not have dined here in a while.

1) The Food
Hats off to Flame & Fire for filling a real culinary gap in Bakersfield by bringing in the first (and only) Brazilian-style steakhouse. In a town where you can almost bet your house that a new restaurant will be another Mexican spot, this concept was refreshing and much needed.

My first visit was for the traditional Brazilian all-you-can-eat dinner experience, referred to as the “Dinner Rodizio,” priced at $68.95 per person. From a peer comparison standpoint, that pricing is right in line with Fogo de Chão and slightly higher than Texas de Brazil. As for food quality, I’d describe the Rodizio as “good-okay.” My main feedback is that the meats tend to come out a bit more well-done than preferred (which I understand can happen), and they lean fairly salty–some may enjoy that, others may not.

Overall, it’s a cool experience to try once, but if you prioritize food quality the way I do, you may find better consistency ordering from the regular menu. Where the food really shines, in my opinion, is the happy hour menu. There’s a solid selection, and you can get a very good meal for the price.

2) The Service
This is why the rating lands at three stars. Across every visit: Rodizio dinners, regular sit-down meals, lunches, and cocktail hours, the service has seemingly declined over time.

During a recent visit, once seated, the wait staff has been increasingly inattentive. We’ve experienced situations where we were seated on the patio and essentially ignored, to the point of going back inside to request indoor seating in hopes of more attentive service. Drink order wait times have grown noticeably longer, and table check-ins have been few and far between.

On a separate visit, we had to ask for a manager’s assistance. Unfortunately, she seemed inconvenienced by the interaction and was unhelpful in resolving what should have been a very simple issue.

I’ve had recent conversations with others who have dined here, and they echoed similar concerns: “The overall vibe, food, and happy hour are great…but the service is killing that place.” Many readers (and hopefully ownership) will recognize how often this happens locally, restaurants with real potential that ultimately struggle due to personnel issues (Le Cave, Wikis, etc.). I sincerely hope Flame & Fire doesn’t head down that same path. If customer experience stops being the priority, even the best concept or food won’t be enough to keep people coming back.

Very happy with the quality of meat and the service of this restaurant. Like most Brazilian steakhouses, they try to fill you up on bread and other less expensive options. These were very good here. The meats were very tasty, like their bacon wrapped filet, candied bacon, and lamb chops. I had one particular female server who really catered to me. She asked if there was something I was wanting specifically, and then was sure to have the server that had that meat come to quickly. I will eat here again!

Just tried this restaurant and to be honest the food was Amazing. Customer service second to none. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is because the glass of water that was given to my wife was dirty from the rim. It had some kind of caramel like residue. We told our waitress and she immediately replaced it with a clean one. Sides and meats were amazing. The drinks are also extremely tasty.

My first time here, The best of the night the bread and the wine, all the meat cuts that we order was over salty, the salad bar was rlly sad, there are plenty of options but many were empty, the soups was kind of cold.

Something thats was fine, was the service. The servers, bartenders and runners was relly nice and attentive.

Price quality doesnt match, i would like to spend the same amount for a good steak in other places.

Went before the prices went up. Absolutely love the food; it’s meats galore, and get a lot of protein, but it’s just too expensive for me to now ever be able to come back. Expect to pay around $100 per person, even at lunchtime. Just costs too much; grilling your BBQ in your yard is a much more reasonable, and affordable, option
