Found this Nice little restaurant on our scenic drive today. I had the shrimp plate and my husband had the whitefish.( blackened) Plates are served with three sides okra coleslaw and fries. You can substitute if you aren’t fond of any item. They also serve complimentary Swamp Soup ( greens beans and ham) when you dine in. Food was flavorful and I hope to make it back to try a few of the other specialties.

“Eat where the locals eat”, they say. This is where the locals east and it is well worth it. Very generous portions of shrimp, fish and sides. Friendly staff and nice setting. The last time we’d been was the day before the Covid shut down. (We are from Michigan) and made the trip from Dauphin Island once again.

I love the decor & our sever was very nice and professional, unfortunately the hamburger was around $12-14 and it tasted like a McDouble and the french fries were very hard and unsalted. The catfish was okay but the hamburger meat isn’t greatest quality.

Great place to grab anything seafood! We had the Shrimp Po-Boy, Grilled Whitefish w/ Crawfish Sauce, Fried Pickles and Swamp Soup. I was surprised how good the swamp soup was! It kinda reminded me of Campbell’s Bean Soup but with more flavor. Overall great place to grab a bite to eat. Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Check hours before going – sometimes they close for staff vacations.

Our Wednesday night group usually eats at our fav Foley Mex restaurant, but Christmas took us to Fairhope, and we were extremely pleased with our choice.

Great place tucked away in Point clear.. must try! We was seated right away even though it was very busy! Parking lot was packed with cars. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Started off with gator bites and fried frog legs. Very good! Our waitress did say that this place is famous for its burgers so of course we had to try it! We ordered Hurricane burger. Known to locals as a state winner (3ed place). It was delicious! I would recommend to owner if he listens to his customers lol they should try to serve their French fries some other way. Make it special! Not just unsalted basic fries that get thrown away.. just a suggestion ‍♀️ Other than that everything was amazing! Absolutely try the desert! To die for We will be back!

Best food we had while staying in Point Clear! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Must get the swamp soup. Best fried dill pickles I’ve ever eaten. Best fried shrimp (fried shrimp platter) I’ve ever eaten as well. Cole slaw good. Two of us dined, one beer each, shared appetizer. $54 before tip.

Happened by this place on a day trip to Mobile, AL. It was noon and they had a nice lunch crowd. The hostess greeted and sat me immediately. I requested outdoor seating. Their outdoor area is casual but comfortable. Since this review is written during the covid pandemic I will comment that all employees with whom I dealt were properly masked. My server greeted me promptly. She was courteous, friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and made great suggestions without being overbearing. The overall service was great! All the orders, with the exception of dessert, came with a side of “Swamp Soup”. This concoction of greens, beans and stock was a great starter soup. Very down to earth and tasty. Everything I had was cooked properly and served hot. Not greasy or soggy – crispy, crunchy goodness. I don’t eat fried food much, but when I want it, I want it good and this place fit the bill. Thanks for a great lunch with great service!!
