Like, not love. It seems like the lighting is nice until you sit at the table. There’s one bright bulb shining down like a spotlight. Food was presented nicely. We think the New England clam chowder was cream of potato with clams added, lol. I know there’s not a whole lot of difference, just didn’t taste very clammy. Corn succotash was spicy. Crab cakes have good flavor but a lot of breading. Lobster was good. Fingerling potatoes, fries, and veggies were good. We would go back, just not high priority. Staff was all very friendly.

Tonight, was our first visit, in a word “phenomenal” attentive friendly staff, the beverages were perfect, appetizers were simply amazing, as one who grew up in a fishing village in CT, all the seafood was prepared, and tasted like it just came off the boat, super fresh. Our appetizers and entrées were hot and expertly prepared, our meal ended with strawberry shortcake, we could taste the butter in the biscuit, the berries were plump and the whipped cream was light, and just sweet enough to let the berries shine. We highly recommend this establishment, we plan to return often when we need the freshest seafood around, prepared expertly. Btw the raw bar was to die for!! If you love seafood, Fish in Marlborough is your ticket!!

Wait staff was amazing, drinks were tasty, and dinner was flavorful. The Oysters however were sooo tiny, tasty but tiny. Maybe it was the type or the season ‍♀️. My expectation were at least teaspoon sized oysters, we ordered one of each type and all tiny. Good news was sides were delicious and entrees were filling.

I always enjoyed bringing my friends and family here for the $1 oysters. We recently moved to Marlborough and was excited to have a seafood restaurant nearby. Lately their quality went downhill significantly. We ordered 4 dozen oysters and were served the tiniest oysters that had a sliver of oyster meat. It literally would’ve taken about 6 or more of these oysters to equal to one regular sized oyster. Our family didn’t even want to bother eating it. It’s not something that should be served at a restaurant. They should have just said they ran out of oysters. I asked the waiter why the oysters were so small this time and showed my displeasure. I had this type of oyster the last time I came and they were decent sized. The ice bed it was served on was all melted and water over all the oysters. Also, that is a tiny fork next to the oysters for comparison. The oysters weren’t even big enough for that fork. Then when our entrees came, not one but both entrees had undercooked haddock. Haddock should be white not pink! The waiter apologized and gladly took back the fish because he saw how uncooked it was and made new ones which were white and cooked the second time around. The drinks are never consistent. The drinks are seasonal and changes. I was raving about their lychee drink earlier this year and when I brought my friends to try it, it was awful. Also, we brought a small cake to celebrate a birthday but was told we can’t bring in outside food which we understand. We couldn’t just keep the cake at our table and had to bring the cake back to the hot car because it wasn’t allowed inside the restaurant apparently. We actually had plans to come back this week and next week with our friends. We quickly changed those plans after this experience.

Me and my husband really love this place. They have really fresh seafood the freshest I’ve ever had even at the beach. We went there for a second time ever and there was a bit of a slow service but they were packed. And for our long wait they hooked us up with some freebies and that was fantastic. And the waiter (actually the Bartender) Josh was just my favorite. He was so nice and he was just dealing with all the tables at once and he was even going back-and-forth to the kitchen to the other waitresses/waiters etc. and then he had to make sure that everybody over there was happy and everything was copacetic. He did a phenomenal job and I think he should get a raise because he was not a waiter but he did the job of a waiter and A bartender all at the same time. Awesome job great dude super personable very nice guy.

Our local go-to for fresh oysters. Always a good selection and always super fresh. Michael was our waiter and he took time discussing the oyster selection and making sure my meal was made to accommodate my food allergies.

Being oyster-on-the-half-shell hounds, we are regular visitors to Fish. The $1 raw oysters (and clams) are a real draw (available for Happy Hour 3-6 W-Sat, and all day on Sunday), even though COVID has cut down on the variety of oysters on offer from different regions. Only two types (good ones though – Duxbury and Blue Point) available on this visit; a couple of years ago we had a choice of a dozen different types of oysters, and I hope this will return in the future. My mother’s order of mussels was excellent – large and sweet, some of the best she’s ever had. We have generally found all the dishes on offer here to be well worth the money. Since we were there on a Thursday during Happy Hour, we tried a couple of items off the HH menu… the Beet Pickled Eggs could have been a bit more pickled, but the Lobster Poutine (tater tots topped with lobster gravy and cheddar cheese) was (a bit surprisingly) outstanding. Definitely will be ordering again. Ditto for the truffle fries. A special shout-out to waiter Murillo who responded with unfailing good humor and rapid response to our frequent demands for more oysters, bread, beer, et. al.

Great deals on Sunday, $1 oysters where you get to choose from the full menu and the service is great. The wait staff oats just the right amount of attention to you. The only issue I had was there are no blinds on the windows and we were initially sat right in a big sun glare by the window. We were moved when asked, but I recommend they get blinds

What a treat to find a seafood restaurant that serves a wide spectrum of dishes from good old New England favorites to offering EIGHT varieties of raw oysters…WOW!!! I also was able to dine with a coworker on his first visit to America…and he was in for a treat. First was a beer and selected a local Trappist offering. Seriously… Spencer Trappist Ale from Spencer, MA. This is considered a Belgian Pale Ale, but I would say it is a bit more robust than that. This actually reminded me more of a full-bodied Flemish ale that is unfiltered and provides a nice clean finish. The Clam Chowder was rich and creamy with nice chunks of potatoes and clams with a sprinkle of bacon for flavor. While I did not try the raw bar tonight I was really impressed with the variety of oysters offered for sampling. We both went with the Fried Seafood Platter that included large slab of Haddock, two Shrimp, three Scallops, and a handful of Whole Belly Ipswich Clams. To round out the meal some rough cut french fries, coleslaw, and some House Made Tartar Sauce made for a substantial meal. The breading used on the fish, scallops, and clams was PERFECT…light and slightly flavored allowing the seafood flavors to shine. Love the coarser breading on the shrimp…a solid flavor that really complimented the shrimp. I would compare this offering to many of the incredible “clam shack” Seafood Platters I have enjoyed along the coast of Maine, but with a bit of flair and class. Service was wonderful and our waiter took excellent care of us. My coworker from Panama…loved his first New England style seafood experience.
