Visited for happy hour and dinner on my birthday back in September 2021. It was among the Top 10 meals of my life – everything was perfect. I tell everyone visiting Kauai about this place and I actually keep the receipt from our visit on my desk at home so I can look at it sometimes and reminisce about all the food and drinks. I would eat there every day if it wasn’t 3,300 miles from my house.

This is definitely a popular spot for locals and visitors, but I have no regrets about waiting for it. They had a couple of walk-in seats available, but I ordered to-go, so I could sit at one of the small tables outside the restaurant. They have lots of fresh seafood options and daily specials. I had to try the tuna belly fish and chips since I’ve never seen it made before with tuna. It’s such an easy fish to dry out, but they miraculously made it juicy and tender while frying it. The tartar sauce was also really good and even the pickles stood out. They put a thoughtful Hawaiian touch on the plate with a pineapple slice. It was a simple, but delicious meal that shows off quality fish and skillful chefs. Fish Bar Deli is definitely worthwhile.

First of all an amazing spot to sit and people watch. The food is more than amazing and I would eat here everyday if I could. On the way in I had two people walk up to me and tell me how great both the food and deserts are so I just had to try it. I’m so happy I did, best food I have had on the island so far.

Popped in for dinner and drinks and it was amazing. I had a soursop colada (excellent) and a katsu egg sandwich that was absolutely incredible. It should 100% be in the permanent menu. Really really enjoyed our meal and will certainly be back!

Stellar place with super friendly staff. I didn’t have time to eat here unfortunately due to my group being in a rush but the food smelled amazing and you could tell all the fish in the case was fresh! I’m a huge seafood fan so I am definitely going to try and stop by here again! They also had a lot of high quality ingredients in their shop that were well priced! I highly recommend stopping here and supporting a local Kauai business.
