1/8, 4:30 pm – I’d just gotten off my first work shift of the day and my 78yo mother asked me to pick her up some Chinese food; specifically, Moon Wok’s HAPPY FAMILY & an order of their wings. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a smiling HF behind the front counter, who asked me if I was dining in or taking out. I let her know I was getting my food to-go , ordered & paid ($23). Within 12-15 minutes, my order was bagged with a few extra Duck sauces and ready to go. The Happy Family, which has tons of vegetables, shrimp, beef, & chicken was hot, fresh, and the overall flavor of everything combined over fresh steamed rice was PHENOMENAL!! What wasn’t? The ULTRA GROSS double (triple?) fried Chicken Wings were nasty – overcooked extremely hard, stale smelling, with a slightly grey interior!! I saw one after my mother took a bite and I grabbed them and told her “When in doubt, throw it out”. The risk of food poisoning isn’t worth it, and bad chicken cannot be made safe by cooking.

If I had read the reviews before, I wouldn’t have ordered from here. I ordered the sesame chicken before reading the reviews. I haven’t been here in at least 3 years, so I didn’t know that other reviews had mentioned hair in the food. Anyways, I prayed over my food several times (thank you Jesus), then inspected it thoroughly. With that being said, it tasted okay, not great, and for the price, it’s not worth it. Also, the restaurant was EMPTY at 6:30 pm, like 3 people dining-in, which should tell you that something is not right. However, there were 100 people at Cici’s next door. I don’t want to give this place a bad rating, but there are several reviews about hair being in the food on Yelp and Google. I would find a better place to get Chinese food, although the best Chinese spots are in North Dallas in my opinion.

I’m taking my time out to write this and it’s not a joke. I found hair attached to tissue. I had chicken. This was Not a human hair I don’t know what the hell it was. I took my food back there and spoke to the owner. I’ve been going to this restaurant for at least seven years since I’ve been living in I’m a local business owner, which he knows that I brought my food to him and showed him and asked her what are all of these hairs Food, they do not look like human hair. They were very, very thick and straight. The gentleman got upset with me asked me that I want a refund. And then told me to get out which I was very shocked and very upset from the experience did not even apologize. Nothing at all, so I turned to the people that were sitting down. And I showed them and I told them all to be very careful in this restaurant I would never ever ever ever go to this place ever again. I did not have to make this Post I’m taking my time out to do so to warn other people that might take their family to this place this place should not be in business in Cedar Hill It was definitely a rotten hair I added a picture so you can see yourself I also contacted the health department

Never again will I order from this place. I ordered shrimp fried rice with extra veggies. Nothing but carrots and peas ! Then the orange chicken was too mushy and broccoli pale looking. Sushi was also warm which gave it a bad taste.

(2nd Review) I tried to warn one of my family members not to eat at this location she was at my hoy warm up her egg drop soup and discovered one piece of the egg had black mold on it she threw the whole soup away you’ll be on alert if you eat here things hay changed.

I found hair fried inside of my sweet and sour chicken in my food the sesame chicken was black underneath the batter I threw it in the trash if you eat here please check your food thoroughly before eating and whoever’s cutting up the chicken they’re doing a terrible job they are not giving you the full pieces of chicken.

Service NOT with a smile. Not as inviting as the name of the place. The food….mediocre. I had to doctor it up to get some flavor and I requested SPICY. I’m not impressed I asked if I could get meat in the all vegetable plate they serve. I would have paid extra…….NOOOOO. REALLY?

This is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. Ordered the orange chicken, Mongolian beef, and “fried rice.” The orange chicken was soupy and most likely the reason I got sick. The fried rice tastes like 3 day old rice with soy sauce. The chicken egg rolls taste like freezer. I called the next day to speak to the manager about the food making me sick was completely dismissed.

I ordered the wings. That was a mistake. They looked NOTHING like the picture that they have posted on the window next to the front door. The wings they sold to me were burned and they looked like they were fried in old grease. When I returned them the older lady behind the counter was EXTREMELY rude. She tried to tell me that they were well done and if chicken is not cooked like that it will be bloody on the inside. I told her that they just didn’t work for me. She then slammed her hand on the cash register…pulled out some cash and rudely tossed it into my hand. I was expecting that anyone could see that the wings were not up to par…I was planning on getting a fresh and better order of the wings. Needless to say…we won’t be back.

1: the teriyaki sauce IS NOT teriyaki sauce. It’s very bitter and salty.
2: the sweet and sour sauce is ONLY sour..and very thin.
3: my order was over $30 and NO FORTUNE COOKIES were put in my bag.
4: the teriyaki chicken is VERY DRY. You gotta have sauce for it and unfortunately, the sauce is sub par
