Good place to get you last meal and drink the United States/Montana before crossing over into Canada! Good place to see wildlife too, I hit the jackpot there today with wildlife.

Only stopped for Smokes. You pay currently March 2024 $50/carton of Marlboro king red. You pay then you have to go a little ways to the warehouse and pick up your order.

I wanted to see Canada’s boarder. I stop into this bar for some local information. The owner was kind and informative. I grab some chips. Then took a few pictures. Thank you, sir!

My husband and I have been going here for duty free since 2011. Always spotless and friendly staff. Recently taken over by new owners. We went in for our usual stop to get chewing tobacco. You get five cans for $25. We were charged $35. My husband pointed that the price on the board said $25. The person working said the new owners changed the price. I’d have to talk to them. However the price was posted at $25. Well we went home and that didn’t sit right with us. I called and left two messages for the new owners to call me. Still waiting!! This was In August. It’s cheaper to go to the local grocery store. I guess they have had their last chance with us. Now I see they are closed for the season. Does that mean you are only open in the summer? What about ski season? Good luck to the new owners and their staff. You can’t replace the staff that was there as they became like family.

We visited this bar mid day and not one person was there. We talk to the bartender who was completely uninterested in speaking with us at all. I found out she was the owner and I was shocked that she was so rude. I walked outside and talked on the phone while my husband had one beer which took him about five minutes to drink because the bartender/owner was too bothered to speak to him.. it’s not exactly fine dining so don’t waste your time. Head to the town of Eureka where the people are friendly and happy to see you.

Hoping to meet a local or two and have a pint, I was instead greeted with cold stares and an extremely snappy bartender who made it clear my presence was unwelcome. The (canned) PBR was tasty, but sipping it in awkward silence following her snide commentary as I ordered was not so pleasant. I’d go a bit further up the road to Trapper’s Saloon instead.

These people are great. I was stuck at the border for 5 days and they welcomed me in to their place and treated me like family. If you ever get a chance to get by you most definitely should.
