The restaurant needs a good deep clean, the layers of dust look to be years old. The restaurant smelled of smoke due to the lack of exhaust vent. Food was okay, but took a very long time. Was incredibly expensive and not worth the wait. We found a few hairs in the food. I usually don’t write a bad review but I would not return to this restaurant. Hopefully they can do a deep clean, tie their hair back, and install an exhaust hood.

I’ve driven past this place countless times and never popped in. Happened to be camping in the area and decided to change that. So glad I did! Friendly staff, cozy interior, and the best chicken noodle soup I’ve ever had–told them as much, too. Will definitely return!

We stopped in for breakfast while visiting the area on vacation. It’s really cozy inside and has a beautiful view of the forest, seen through the dining room windows. I ordered the eggs benedict (really delicious) and my boyfriend ordered a south west scramble of some sort, which he also said was very good. The total came out to around $60.00. My only real complaint is that there were flies in the dining room. And it’s a problem it looks like they are trying to rectify (they have a fly trap bag hanging in the larger half of the dining room).

Delicious breakfast! Everyone agreed the homemade biscuits were soft, buttery and just the right amount of crispy. The reading nook looks like a perfect place to sit by the fire on a cold day with a delicious cup of coffee. We had a lovely time and recieved our food and drinks in a regular amount of time. There were about 15 other families there when we arrived and about 20 when we departed. Wheelchair accessible for entry however it might be difficult to have more than one seating arrangement as the stairs to the second dining area and chimney in the middle of the room can possibly cause a space issue.

The worst… Extremely vomit worthy. Not only did we wait well over an hour after putting our order in, but even when we got there nobody brought us menus, did not show up to our table for nearly 30 minutes, it was like the most unorganized thing I’ve seen in a long time. Tables were filthy, people sitting for a long, long periods of time before anybody checked on them. I finally went up to the front and put my order in with somebody that was up there and told them where we were sitting at and it was still nearly an hour before our food came out and then once it came out it was absolutely disgusting. I ordered chicken fried steak which was mushy, gravy was thick and cold like it had been sitting there forever. Both orders of pancakes were burnt to a crisp and so were the potatoes. Just absolutely disgusting and not worth the price or the wait. The pancakes, and I kid you not, were hard as a rock like could be used for frisbee. So incredibly gross. I would never pay money here again nor would I suggest anybody else go or pay money. Terrible.

Brunch in a small town on vacation might just be my new favorite thing! The food was super tasty, and the staff were warm and friendly. While the ambience isn’t anything fancy, it’s perfectly fine for the area and adds to the local charm.

Great space that feels rustic but also spacious and inviting. My omelet was full of flavor, moist, well balanced. Biscuits were amazing, soft and dense. You can sit by the large windows for a stream and woods view.

Went in on a Sunday morning and sat quickly, a table of 5. We got our coffee quickly but after taking our order we waited over and hour for our food. Once we got it half of us had cold food. It seems like half of our orders sat in the cold while the other dishes were cooked. Cold potato’s and even worse cold eggs. When we got our coffee refilled we were given cold coffee (our first cup was warm). Coffee was a bit off and tasted burnt.
After our meal was done, we were looking to pay and no one returned to our table. Eventually we noticed people had to go to a counter to pay.

The biscuits are perfect. Crispy on the outside, filled with nooks and crannies. Served with a homemade jam. Whatever you order here, make sure it comes with one of these.
Also worth noting, the interior is appropriately rustic. Wooden furniture and wood panels walls surround you while you can catch views of a creek outside through the large windows.

This is the cutest cafe with the best breakfast! We tried the old fashioned oatmeal, banana chocolate chip pancakes, and chicken fried steak. Everything was perfect! Our server was friendly and the small town vibe was great! Highly recommend before a good hike!
