When I walked in I was greeted with confused faces. I ordered the new roast beef dip. It took 5 minutes per ingredient to make this sandwich. I almost went to sleep and asked them to wake me when they were done. Customer service was a straight 0! The woman had one of the most unfriendly personalities that I had ever experienced. I would have given the rating a 0, but the young guy with dreads had a beautiful smile and he even held the door for me on the way out. I will be making my subs at home or stick with Jersey Mike’s from now on.

Wow what a busy location or maybe it was the time of day. I believe it was shortly after noon time when I walked into a line with a half a dozen people in front of me and almost a full restaurant. Happy to see the good places doing so well. Ordered my usual turkey sandwich combo and as usual it was delicious. Great location with all the amenities you would expect from fire house. Everyone working was very clean and professional and looked like they were working very hard to service the customers the best they can.

Woman working was beyond rude as soon as walking thru the door to pick up Uber Eats. Told me she wasn’t going to start the order because I was before the pick up time (I don’t mind waiting) but just stands there on the phone. I understand you close soon YOU CAN STILL BE POLITE!

For the owner. 28 April 2025. I pulled in at 8:50pm. Restaurant closes at 9:00pm. Door locked. Two employees hanging out inside. One left the restaurant at 8:55. I’d be mad if I owned or managed this location. I will always love firehouse. Just laziness here

I went in to pick up a DoorDash order, and the employee couldn’t figure out how to locate it in their system. I had to go out of my way and call the customer directly (luckily they answered) to confirm what they ordered. When I told the lady at the counter, she was rude and gave me attitude, as if I had done something wrong, even though the issue was on her end. Overall, it was a very disorganized and unpleasant experience.

Terrible experience—again. Locals, beware.
We’ve lived in Destin for five years now and have consistently had bad experiences at this Firehouse Subs. We keep giving it another shot, hoping things will improve, but last night (10 May 2025) was the final straw. We placed an online order for the $20 deal—two large Hook & Ladder subs—and arrived at 8:15pm while they were still being made.
I politely asked the manager if they could add the zesty garlic sauce from the Zesty Garlic Hook & Ladder. I even offered to pay extra. She flat-out refused, saying it wasn’t included with the deal. Seriously? It’s a sauce, and I wasn’t asking for anything for free.
It’s not just this one visit. Over the years, there’s always been something—rude or apathetic employees, mistakes with orders, or unnecessary hassle like this. We’ve finally given up and now go to another local sub shop that actually cares about its customers.
Do better, Firehouse.

I usually come here once a week with my work crew of 6 guys and we love it. I don’t know what happened! The employees were rude and acted like I owed them something. It is sad that employees with poor attitudes can bring down something as awesome as firehouse. We don’t plan on returning.

Walked in at 715 on a Friday night 10/02/2020 to not only be ignored by 3 employees who were not wearing a mask but also they were too consumed with laughing and talking to each other. We stood there for awhile while a girl and a boy stood behind the counter just staring at us and another boy was stocking the chips asking what time it was as if they didn’t have paying customers waiting to order. Once we ordered and paid $42 for our food, 2 large hook and ladders, a medium hook and ladder, small ham with a side of mac n cheese, which is the highest priced we have ever seen at a firehouse, we had to wait another 30 minutes to get our order when we were the ONLY ones in the establishment besides a man who walked in 10 minutes after us! The little girl was rude as can be and just stood there as the boy was I guess making our food and she kept speaking badly about my family and when I looked at her, she then acted like she was doing something. When the other customer walked in and had to go back outside to double check about his order, she rolled her eyes at him and said something to the boy beside her. We get our food and head back to our place where we are staying on vacation and our order was wrong! I asked for a hook and ladder plain and this is what I got (photos attached). I am highly allergic to tomatoes, hence why I asked for none and for the sandwich to be plain on my almost $12 sandwich that I now cannot eat and had to throw away, but I have never in my life seen a place where their employees act like this. I guess they don’t know that without returning customers, they don’t have a job nor a paycheck and the entitlement is unreal. The owners need to find qualified employees who can not only greet and be polite to paying customers but also to make sure they can correctly make a plain sandwich which isn’t hard to do. Never in my life have I seen such blatant disregard and disrespect towards customers and I hope that they aren’t allowed to continue working there while wasting people’s time and money! If the place wasn’t already closed at 8pm then I would have went back and gotten a refund but since I can’t, I can assure you that I will be contacting corporate since this is apparently an ongoing issue by the other reviews I have read and it seems as though the people who are responding to them aren’t correcting the problems and instead just telling people what they want to hear. Trust me when I say avoid this place and save yourself the headache.
