I knew it was to good to be true. While traveling a few days ago eat at firehouse sub for the first time. Now back in Virginia tried the location habourview Suffolk. VERY DISAPPOINTING. WE ordered Thanksgiving sandwiches combo and Italian combo it was delivered with NO DRINKS,NO CHIPS AND NO CRANBERRY SAUCE ON SANDWICH. They just threw it together. While eating the Thanksgiving sub bite into a long string of hair I AM SO DISGUSTED been trying to call the store for 20 minutes straight line busy. Either phone is off the hook or someone just kicked back talking on it. Finally spoke with Carlos the manager the nect day. He was so nonchalant saying contact the delivery people.I told him what does the delivery people have to do with hair in my sandwich. So disgusting!! People don’t have money to be throwing away you want what you paid for. Will NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN. And will share this with everyone.

Why do the employees of this establishment turn off all signage to deter customers from coming into the building to order. This picture was taken at 7:30PM and the business doesn’t close until 9PM, I’m sure the owner wouldn’t appreciate customers being fooled and loss of money.

Waited to long for my food and they were not busy. And it was over cooked. The reception was cold and unfriendly. No thank you , just felt like I was an inconvenience. I never post bad reviews because everyone has a bad day. But this the 3rd visit with the same results.

Food is always half put together and cold immediately. Came on a Friday at 1130 and there’s 2 workers here, insanity. As a prior firehouse employee at a different location; this is definitely not the standard or expectation

Food was sloppy and half of my sub was bread while the rest was falling off, when I walked up to order she didn’t say anything, just stood there and looked at me, it was uncomfortable and awkward. The service was awful, the people at the front smacking their gum, attitude gave off a “I don’t care and I wanna go home” vibe and just gave off dirty looks like they didn’t care at all. They have air pods in while working so they couldn’t hear me order and had to repeat myself 3 times for the order. I know working with food service isn’t the best and kinda sucks, but don’t take it out on your customers.

They messed up my order twice and then told me I’m not allowed to get a refund . So now I wasted my dinner money and had to deal with rudeness. The manager has had countless complaints. This is beyond the worst location in Hampton roads. And then it takes them 15 minutes to make one sub. There’s nobody in the restaurant so how is that a thing.

This is a very poor example of Firehouse subs…
Manger / or owner needs a class in restaurant management..
I see now by other posts that this is in fact how this place runs….
Not sure if it was the manager or the owner who waited on me after approximately 6 or 7 minutes waiting in line by myself with only two other people in the store but his demeanor was miserable and his personality was not welcoming at all…
And after getting my sub and eating in store I saw the next four or five customers be treated in the same manner..
And when another employee finally came back from the back room or wherever he was and started trying to help customers at the register the aforementioned man making a sandwiches came up from his counter position and went over and took over the register in a very Gruff manner…
I have not been to that location in several years and will never return under this management..
To the man who waited on me ? Get help with your miserable attitude
