I’m not sure what has been going on lately or what was going on today because it took longer than usual for my Steak & cheese sandwich to be ready. The 2 guys behind the counter were arguing and using profanity. The white guy with cornrows making sandwiches was not wearing gloves and was belittling the smaller guy. Myself and the lady behind me both heard the white guy with cornrows using ethnic slurs. To be completely honest, I won’t be coming back when gloves aren’t worn and ethnic slurs are used

Good subs, but the kids that work there need to move with more urgency. We went in, and there were on their phones sitting down behind the counter, and it took 2 mins or so before someone came up to take our orders. But besides that, a good place to eat at.

Yesterday was the first time my husband and I have ever been to a firehouse sub. It will not be the last either. Friendly and helpful people. Fantastic food and very clean. We were both very pleased with the many choices of sodas too. Thank you so much for a great experience .

all was good until… Brian. He was extremely disrespectful to the people he worked with and the customers. He made my sandwich terrible. His crusty hair was in my sandwich! In my tomato to be precise and I asked for NO TOMATO btw. I will be making sure to come back when Brian is not around.

Ordered 5 sandwiches to go. The girl taking our order was either high as a kite, stupid or both. We ordered 65 sandwiches; 2 on white bread, 3 wheat – all came on white bread. When asked if we wanted any of them heated up I said no, but in the end 3 were heated. Thankfully the girl taking the order was not making the sandwiches so they were at least edible. Crazy that so few people / businesses take pride in what they do – “give me your money and leave” seems to be the attitude all too often.

It’s Sunday evening. A situation has arisen that beckons me to do something special for a very dear friend in this moment. Things are pretty much closed so where can I go? Then a thought crossed my mind…. Hey Siri, is Firehouse Subs open? And she responded in the affirmative. So out I went and asked for a ham and Swiss with everything on it. It may not seem like much but in this moment it was everything. The kids at the counter, were no doubt eyeing the clock, wondering if this workday would ever be over an yet here they are on a misty, dusky Sunday evening still working, still preparing on the off chance that someone might come in. To you I say Thank You. You will never know how much a simple sandwich can mean to a person trying to comfort his friend in an hour when every minute feels like eternity. Thank you for being there and somehow please know that your job, your simple act of kindness while doing your job is much much more than the sandwich itself….

I used to love firehouse subs but now the prices are insane. We got 2 normal subs with chips and drink and my total was about 40 dollars subs were mediocre. The price is reason I will not be back. It’s not worth what is being charged.

SNAPSHOT = details below – 3 stars for product and 4 stars for process. Fresh veggies, so-so bread but forgettable meat means they just can’t keep up with Jimmy John’s and can’t hold a candle to Monte’s excellent subs.

I want to start by saying I love firehouse, it’s usually my go to for subs, but my last meatball sub at this store was horrible. They usually have 4 large meatballs that are amazing and have a legitimate Italian flavor, but my last one had eight small meatballs, similar to subway. Didn’t think much of it but after taking one bite it was clear this wasn’t the same. The meatballs were very dark and tasted burnt. The sauce tasted burnt and more like tomato paste and less like tomato sauce. Needless to say for the first time I could only eat half of it. Very disappointed as this is my favorite sub from here. Hopefully this is not the new normal or I’ll be done going to firehouse.
