Not sure why so many bad reviews, you know when you go to firehouse they are a more expensive sub and because of their steaming process it’s going to take time. Their sandwiches are really tasty and their hot har is great, a little messy, but great. They have a great selection and go to a good cause. I know the pic I posted of chicken and dumplings is chili; however, I ordered chicken and dumplings and wanted to be sarcastic. The place was clean and well lit and again outside the hot bar being a little messy it’s great. The staff was staff they were easy to work with and tried to help me out with any questions. I enjoyed everything except not getting my soup I wanted.

I didn’t order anything because the French dip is discontinued, but my husband ordered his usual giant brisket sandwich. The employees were very friendly and provided excellent service. My husband said they did a great job on the brisket too, he’s very picky so that’s a great compliment from him.

I came into this establishment at 7:45, 12/10/25, lobby empty apart from one person, and no visible Togo orders. The lady to greet me, an older blonde woman, started off with a deep sigh before saying “How are you?”. When I responded “I’m fine” and asked her in kind, she responded “Well, I’m here!” antagonistically.
A younger, possibly teenager stepped out from the back to take my order. She had a better attitude, but when I asked her to remove the onions and peppers from a Steak & Cheese, I was told that the sub “Didn’t come with those, or tomatoes or lettuce”.
While staring at the menu, reading “caramelized onions and grilled peppers” I asked, “Are you sure?”, to be told, that yes, she was sure.
I simply left. No drama, arguments, or hysterics, just sheer confusion.
Restaurants can’t stay open with an empty lobby at 7:45pm on a week day. They can’t stay open with poor first impressions. They can’t stay open with employees who don’t even know what they’re putting into the system.
Reading the other reviews, it sounds like management has a solid grasp during the day time, and people leave satisfied. I think management needs to spend more attention to their dinner staff, and adequately train the people they can’t directly oversee as often.
I did not get these people’s names.
I say all of this as a food service manager, based here in FWB. I visit this location, or the Uptown Station location, four times a year, and this was simply the worst experience I have had at a Firehouse, ever.

The two customer service persons behind the counter were very nice.Great smiles and very helpful. I picked up the sub for my sister as I am not a big person on subs. But these 2 individuals have to be the best. I’ve come in contact with
Ever in a subshop. Thank you for your smiles, your laughter. And your kindness and your great service. Later bros..

This is the worst firehouse I have ever been to. It took 35 minutes to get two sandwiches and the one sandwich is a small! And the order was wrong! It was not very clean as well. They ran out of pickles, which I get but they didn’t even address it. And everyone knows that folks love firehouse pickles. The franchisee needs to check on their store! PS it wasn’t busy and they had a full staff.

Came in today for a sub and had to wait at least 30 minutes with at least 12 other customers for their sandwiches to be made. With 4 workers behind the counter it shouldn’t take this long. I’ve been to a Firehouse Subs in another location with only 2 employees and the service was much faster. My trust is to please speed up the process for the future.

Employees were rude and clearly did not want to be bothered by customers. When told about what items we did not want on our food they argued that it already was not on the sandwich, even tho the menu says otherwise. This interaction made us uncomfortable so we went elsewhere. Please train your employees on customer service or at the very least what items are on the menu and what they include.

Visited Firehouse Subs on a Thursday for lunch with my wife and two kids (ages 9 and 17). We placed our order online for a 12:00 PM pickup, and everything was ready right on time when we arrived.
All the food was made correctly and fresh, except for one sub where we had requested light mayo—it came with quite a bit more than expected, almost like heavy mayo. Other than that, everything was delicious.
The store was clean, and the staff was friendly and polite. Overall, we had a good experience and would definitely come back again.

We came in for a quick lunch, there were no other customers so we were waited on immediately, great! Took quite a long time for two sandwiches, but luckily hubby and I enjoy each other’s company. Here’s the bad part, my sandwich was missing half it’s meat and the little that was there didn’t fit the whole bun. Super bummed!
