Field Day Brewing Co. is a massive space, and as soon as you walk in you’re greeted by twinkle lights everywhere, which gives it a fun, cozy vibe despite the size. The servers were all super friendly, there are high-top tables as well as booths, and they play music that keeps the atmosphere lively. It was pretty empty when we arrived, but it filled up quickly after we were seated.

The menu has a lot of options, including vegetarian-friendly choices. A huge plus for me is that you can substitute any burger with their house-made veggie patty. It’s not a frozen Beyond Burger situation, it’s an actual in-house vegetarian patty, which I really appreciated. We ordered two Fat Alec burgers, one regular and one with the veggie patty. The veggie burger was good overall, but a little dry and could have used more truffle aioli.

We also got the pasta salad as a side and wished the portion was a bit bigger. The fries were crispy, and the drinks were solid, mostly standard beers, but with a nice variety to choose from. One downside was the pasta pricing; $19.99 for an artichoke Alfredo without protein felt a bit steep.

Overall, we had a good experience, with a great atmosphere and friendly service, but there’s definitely some room for improvement

Didn’t try any food but the beers were great. We had the Field Pils, Juice Belly IPA and the Centennial Smash sour. Atmosphere was really cool.

The hostess & waitress (& all the staff we watched) seemed to genuinely be enjoying their work, were pleasant, & were welcoming & friendly. Our food was hot, we’ll presented, & tasty. We’ll return, for sure. Well done.

Hi Michele
The Duck pin Bowling room at the Field Day Brewery was the perfect set up for my husband’s retirement party! The service and the food were excellent. Molly and Mick provided excellent service as well as Michele for the preplanning. We loved having our own room and the bowling was a bonus. We heard much positive feedback from all who attended. I would choose Field Day Brewery for future events.
Thank you!

One of our favorite local spots – great food, drinks and service. The merch is the best around, the atmosphere is so fun and they are great about keeping the menu fresh. While my family eats everything, I don’t eat meat and Field Day’s veggie burger is the best I’ve ever had!

Walking into Field Day Brewing feels like stepping into a place that was built for good times. The vibe is relaxed but lively — the kind of spot where you can grab a beer after work, hang out with friends on the weekend, or bring people together for a fun night out without it feeling noisy or chaotic.

What really stands out is the beer. Every pint I’ve tried has its own character — well-balanced, flavorful, and consistently crafted. Whether it’s a crisp, refreshing lager or a more experimental seasonal brew, it’s clear they put real thought into the recipes instead of just churning out generic options. I especially love how the hop profiles are bold without being overwhelming and how the malt bills are smooth and drinkable. It’s the kind of variety that makes you want to stay and taste a few more.

The atmosphere matches the beer perfectly. The taproom is open, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of space to relax or chat. The staff are easy-going but attentive, ready with a recommendation if you’re unsure what to try, and always ready with a smile. Their enthusiasm about the beers and the process comes across naturally, which only adds to the experience.

There’s also a real sense of community here. Locals clearly love it, and first-time visitors feel just as welcome. I’ve seen people linger at tables for hours, and it never feels awkward or rushed — which says a lot about the environment they’ve created.

If you’re in North Liberty and looking for a brewery that actually gets it — great beer, a great vibe, and a place you genuinely want to spend time — Field Day Brewing is absolutely worth a stop. I’ll be coming back. Exceptional experience all around.

Field day has the best outdoor space in North Liberty and it’s not even close. The service is always top notch. The food is not typical bar food, check out the menu, because it is really good for a brewery, and it changes a couple of times a year.

Then there is the beer… I have had most of them and everyone is well done and they have something for everyone from the light beers, to IPA’s to stouts, porters and Czek Dark. Check it out!

My brother and I went here and absolutely loved it! I ordered the lavender lemonade and the gyro bowl, while we also shared the elote dip for an appetizer and cheesecake for dessert. The gyro bowl was not my particular favorite and tasted different than I expected it to, but it was still pretty good. The elote dip and the cheesecake were absolutely amazing. They had such great blend of flavors. We were amazed at the deconstructed cheesecake, as we had never seen anything like it before. I would highly recommend and would absolutely order that again. Their food is such high-quality and delicious. Our server, as well as the hostess, were so helpful and friendly. I brought home a 4 pack of beer for my husband to try as well. I look forward to coming back soon!

Such a good menu! The atmosphere is very energetic and inviting. The food and service was a 10/10! We got the bulgogi tacos, cheese curds, and Windy City beef. All 3 were amazing! Can’t wait to go back 🙂

When considering the service & atmosphere, Field Day was such a great spot to hangout with friends! The field day pretzel was delicious and well liked by the table. The tuna poke bowl was bad; the rice was undercooked and hard, the toppings felt stale, and the fish smelt questionable. My friends got the Cuban and Ko chicken sandwich, neither of which was a fan favorite. Drinks are good but expensive. 2 drinks, poke bowl, and a shared appetizer was 65+ dollars. Overall, a great place to socialize but I’d stick with the appetizers.
