My friends and I visited Ficelle several mornings for breakfast and pastries, and each time was a delight. The service was attentive and friendly—occasionally a little slow, but that’s part of the relaxed rhythm of being in Mexico.
The outdoor seating is charming, surrounded by greenery and decorated with natural plants, which creates such a pleasant atmosphere to start the day. I especially enjoyed the Betty juice made with beets—it was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious.
The pastry selection feels endless, unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere in Mexico. During our visit, they were offering pan de muerto for Día de los Muertos, with a creative twist: a rich chocolate filling. It was outstanding!
Overall, my friends and I had a wonderful experience here—delicious food, a beautiful setting, and a bakery that truly makes you want to come back again and again.

Ficelle is a really nice pastry shop if you’re looking for a quick grab-and-go treat. They’ve got a great variety of items, and the staff made some solid recommendations that didn’t miss. The tarts were especially good — fresh, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area and craving something light and well made.

Cute cafe, great place to sit, but honestly a bit disappointed by some of their desserts being extremely sugary. The desserts look absolutely incredible, and at that price point you’d expect excellence, but you bite in and it’s like any other simple bakery in Mexico: too sugary and sickly sweet, so feels imbalanced at times.

Just bought their seasonal cookie, their version of a pumpkin spice soft cookie… to go… for $6.59USD/121 MXN. And it is at least a day old, dry, crumbly, not at all “suave”. With the reviews definitely expected better, especially given the astronomical pricing. Wasted my money, but will not be wasting my calories on it.

Beautiful bakery with a nice seating atmosphere right outside the shop. Perhaps I ordered incorrectly but I wasn’t really impressed by my cheese/mushroom croissant. We got drinks at the place next door and I don’t know if they’re owned by the same people but they were happy to have us sit there and order from both spots.

Beautiful pastries and displays. Unfortunately, did not taste as good as it looks. The “foccacia” was shaped like a square loaf of bread, which is fine. However, it’s texture is completely wrong. It had no gluten development and was crumbly like wheat pullman loaf. The apple turnover has a weird base of almond paste or similar. The shell was like an Asian “pia” cake shell, layered but very thick and flavorless.

Ficelle is the perfect cafe for me. Their treats were delicious — we ate broccoli bacon quiche and passion fruit tarte onsite and took a brownie and canele to go. We ordered a cerveza y smoothie at partner/sister bistro Monsieur Croque next door (where there is a bathroom available), and the server provided plates/service for our pastries. The vibe and decor of flowers, wines, local goods was an appreciated curation. The outdoor seating was sufficient for patrons at our visit but not large, I could see the space easily maxing out on weekends.
