I just love this place. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the Quail appetizer , the Risotto and the Salmon. Their specialized cocktails are very nice. I will recommend this place all day long.

I’m tempted to drive to Ennis every weekend. My friend and I enjoyed our lunch intensely. The chicken salad was delicious, and the purple and white homemade chips were so good on the side, my friend ordered an extra side order. The margarita was perfection, as was service. The atmosphere is one of total comfort, and you really feel welcome. The prices are extremely fair.

What a treat in downtown Ennis! We stopped here for lunch on our way to Dallas and were pleasantly surprised by this upscaled restaurant and adjacent gift shop. High ceilings and huge windows make the space airy and light. The menu is simple, with great unusual and healthy choices, food itself is excellent! We loved everything that we ordered: Beet salad with creamy goat cheese and arugula, Scallops with cauliflower purée, Stake sandwich, and Avocado toast. Everything was well presented, fresh and tasty. Great job, Chef Eric! The staff is super friendly and very welcoming! Cael took great care of us, was very helpful and attentive. We are definitely coming back, it’s our new favorite place between Dallas and Houston

This was a delightful experience from start to finish. This restaurant is a treat for the eyes … bright, modern, open – gorgeous! Our server Cael was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu, and was a pleasant addition to our evening … in fact each person we met of the staff was absolutely top notch and they obviously love what they do. The food was perfect, we had pork tenderloin with turnips and potatoes, topped off with the exquisite chocolate cake. It was a great evening and we intend to repeat it often.

Fern In The Wild is an absolutely beautiful Cafe. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS! And the staff…such amazing and kind people. I am grateful this place is in our small town. Everyone should go and enjoy a meal. Oh and if you want the absolute best smelling detergent…get the Diva detergent at the shop.

Trendy atmosphere. Very tasty food with smaller portions for the entrees, better for our health. AMAZING chocolate cake. Avocado toast was also a highlight. Menu changes seasonally; two items not available when we visited. Attentive and timely service. I would likely give it a 5 and return; my husband a 3 and would not.

Me and the wife went for pur anniversary earlier this year. Back In April. We had went once before and it’s was decent so we went again although this time (Aniversary visit) it wasn’t. Got what we ordered all that was fine. But there was a small group of like 7 middle aged people already drunk and obnoxiously loud.. we ate our stuff asap and got out of there. Staff really didn’t seem to care about how loud they were. Definitely ruined the mood and experience.

The chef knows what they are doing here and it shows. Loved the food!! Service was great and the cocktails are on point. Locally sourced too, there’s no reason to not try this place and tell a friend. Definitely returning and hoping this will be a staple in Ennis for years to come.
