I’ve always passed by their DC location and finally stopped by their MD one. My friends and I ordered the pork ribs, pork belly, brisket burnt ends, moist sliced brisket, pork sausage, brussels sprouts, and the mac and cheese. Wow everything here was delicious. We loved the burnet ends, pork belly and moist sliced brisket. Meats were so tender, juicy and fall off the bone. Definitely order the sprouts and mac and cheese. The sauces were no joke either. The Carolina, mustard bbq and mild sauces were delicious. I’d recommend ordering earlier in the day as they do sell out items. Also bring your own utensils or wet wipes as the food can get messy. Service here was great. Even though it’s more self serve. Order, grab your food and eat on the benches. The workers kept asking if we needed anything and even gave us extra pickles. Great location to order some BBQ. Parking can be limited, but theres plenty of side street parking across the street.

The guys are always friendly and as welcomingas men can be. I’m not big on their sides but I enjoyed everything I ordered. The beans were a tad too “onion” flavored and soupy for me but nevertheless the meats were flavorful and smoked to perfection.

First, we did not get what we ordered. One item was not recorded and the toast that was supposed to go with the order that did go through was not delivered. When we asked about the toast we were informed it was out and we were given a hamburger bun instead. For.what we did get, the brisket was decent. Mac and cheese was cold and flavorless. Brussels were tasty but super salty. Not sure how this earned a Michelin gourmand ranking.

I was very disappointed. The burnt ends were tough and HUGE chunks. The brisket was moist and fatty however the meat had no flavor and it too was tough. It certainly was not marinated. I had to cut both brisket and ends bc it was just tough. A well cooked brisket can be cut with your fork.

Staff were not friendly. Pork ribs are so tough. Can’t bite into it nor chew it. Brussels sprouts are dry and burnt. Fries were good but I won’t be returning. #disappointed much

The best pulled pork I had in a Looong time! Brussel sprouts were also delicious, along with banana pudding! Love the vinegar based sauce to accompany the sandwiches! 5-star rating!!

Amazing AH-mazing food! I ordered for the first time today and came back again for dinner. These sandwiches are huge! Perfect portions and the fries are fried, seasoned deliciousness. AND it’s super affordable with sustainable packaging. If you’re questioning what you want to order tonight, you want Federalist Pig! Definitely gonna be a new family favorite

The half chicken was great. The KC burnt ends were also quite good but the masterpiece sandwich was a little too strong. The pickles were good and the Texas toast was popular with the kids. Seasoned fries were on the salty side and the Brussels sprouts were good and delicious but a touch too heavy.

Best carryout ribs I’ve had in a long time. For a family gathering we ordered a little of everything. The ribs were trimmed and cooked perfect, just bone and meat. The brisket was moist and tasty, and also trimmed well. The quesadillas were very tasty filled plenty of delicous meat and fried veggies. They would be a good meal by themselves, Love the cold slaw just lightly dressed with mayo. Fried corn was seasoned perfectly. Probably my only complaint, would be that the chicken was a little dry, but I would definitely recommend.

The brisket burnt ends are phenomenal!!! I havent had bbq this good in a while. The brussel sprouts were also delicious although a little salty towards the end. I also tried the Big Cheese sandwich which was also delicious. The texas toast was amazing as well. I think I’ll be going back again today. And icing on the cake is the fact that my food was hot. I love food I don’t have to take home and heat before eating.
