Full Belly Deli was born over a fresh-baked loaf of jalapeño-cheddar bread and two PBRs. Co-owners Eric Barton & Tom Marrin have a few things in common but the strongest bond is their love of a good deli sandwich. Over a couple more fine brews, they laid the groundwork for a place the locals would love and embrace, a dining establishment tourists would seek out on any trip to the Truckee/Tahoe area, and the kind of spot that you couldn’t wait to introduce to your friends and family.

This is the perfect meal. We wanted something light as we were making our way down to Lake Tahoe.
The sandwiches are incredible, size as well. I recommend ordering a half unless you eat a lot. I only ate a half of mine.
Sorry, I don’t remember what I ordered. It was good. The cheese steak was reported to be delicious as well.
The price was not ridiculous either.

everyday challenges
I dont know what happen I spent 60 dollars on sandwiches and all of them were horrible two were supposed to be cold but they made them hot and on the side of one it looks burnt they were all super soggy. I’ve had there sandwiches before through work and they were good. I placed an order online for pick up. I dont think i will order again they were all so bad and not made right. Took three bits and couldnt eat them anymore they were so bad.

This place is ALWAYS packed—and for good reason! Full Belly Deli is hands down one of my favorite spots in Truckee. The energy here is awesome, and the fact that it’s constantly busy just proves how much people love it.
The staff? Super friendly and chill. Even when the line’s out the door, they keep things moving and make you feel welcome every time.
And the food… wow. The sandwiches are massive, loaded with flavor, and worth every penny. My go-to is the tuna sandwich—it’s so good I honestly crave it all the time. Perfectly seasoned, hearty, and just the right amount of kick.
If you’re in Truckee, do yourself a favor and stop by. Trust me, it’s worth the hype.

My husband and I saw Full Belly Deli on google with good reviews so thought we would try it. We ordered the Sicilian Italian sub. It had a number of different meats and condiments. We chose the parmesan cheese bread and it was great. We had half the sub which was perfect for us. You need to order sides so we had chips and a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. The place is fairly small. They do a lot of orders to go and dine-in. The staff was friendly and our food was very good.

I walked in at around 11ish and it was basically empty. As with any other deli, right in front of the door is the register and menus. There is a decently sized menu full of salads and sandwiches and more. This time that I went I ordered the Kale Ceasar Salad with tri-tip. It took no more than 6 or 7 minutes for the food to be ready, and I at it at one of the tables there. The food looked amazing. The portions were great and there was a solid portion of the tri-tip steak. The dressing was great and it was overall a really nice experience at FBD.

Ive never been disappointed…everything I’ve had has been amazing. We bring the breakfast burritos whenever we have to fly anywhere so we don’t have to eat airport food. If we are driving to the coast or eastern sierras, we bring a sando for in the car so we don’t have to stop. Favorites are Dirka Dirka, Sicilian on wheat roll and the regular breakfast burrito with green chilis. I do love the gnar burrito and the Southwest chicken sando too.

Incredible sandwich shop! We drive up to the Truckee area 3 or 4 times a year during the spring and summer, and we always stop here for a sandwich to take on our hike. Heck, we almost come up here JUST for a sandwich! Typically we’ll get the chicken pesto sandwich on Dutch crunch bread. One sandwich is big enough for the two of us, and we usually add one of their big chocolate chip cookies. The photo shows just a half of the sandwich. Best sandwich ever! Great staff as well.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ damn this sandwich rocked my world. Got the southwest chicken on jalapeño cheddar bread for the drive home and it’s delicious. Pretty big sandwich! My friend got it on focaccia and both are fantastic.
Super helpful staff in selecting from their big list of options! Breakfast options as well as hot and cold sandwiches, subs, wraps, and salads… and coffee/beverages.
Seems like this place would be busy at certain times, we came in at 10am on Jan 2 so there wasn’t a line but people trickled in after we ordered.
There’s also paid phone orders, unpaid phone orders and a self order kiosk inside on the right for credit/debit purchases.
Would definitely recommend for lunch on the go in truckee! Not a ton or seating but maybe it’s covered with snow and we can’t see benches…
