So glad we stopped to try Fat Jays. Carlos was so welcoming and set the tone for an amazing dinner. Our server Javier recommended a few options and we were shocked when he said the $10 nachos were perfect for 2 and he was right. They were delicious. On another note, where can you get Margaritas for $12 and have them be so delicious. Tyler made fabulous drinks. Loved my pineapple mojitos. We will definitely be back.

We happened to spot this place a few days ago and decided to stop in today. Great atmosphere and we were greeted immediately by Tyler, the Bar Manager. We discovered, after conversing for a few moments, that we had the pleasure of being served by Tyler at another restaurant maybe a year ago. We spent nearly 3 hours at the bar and he was attentive and knowledgeable and super friendly as well as the other staff. Ask Tyler to make you a Margarita with Bourban/Scotch. Delicious!! And the food did not disappoint. I wish Fat Jays much success….will definitely return to try more of the menu!!! You won’t be disappointed. Good service is hard to find.

Had a great time, and enjoyed the food and drinks ! We ordered calamari, Hennessy wings, shrimp with scallops, and tiramisu. Afterward ordered a few more of the signature drinks and honestly all the drinks are great especially if you love a good espresso martini, mojito and spicy marg! Our waiter Javier was attentive to our needs and made sure we were well taken care of, as well as the other staff. Definitely making this regular spot !

This brand new place welcomes all in with open arms. The staff I met are absolutely phenomenal. The server/hostess Lila as the grandest smile in the universe ready to please anything you need. Carlos the manager is the most sweet and warming soul I’ve ever met in my life. And finally Tyler the head bar manager was able to help with any question I could think of he really made my family not only feel like part of the Fat Jay’s family but at home as well. I’m so excited to return and try every single item on the menu. Especially their very unique take on all the classic cocktails. Thank you Carlos, Tyler, and Lila. This is a combination of a trendy gathering place and a classy dining experience. I had a great experience. Carlos the GM was very invoved. The chef even checked to see how I enjoyed my meal. Raj and Tyler were pleasant and made it a fun night with there sense of humor. By the way the food was unique and tasty.

The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The drinks from the bar were delicious – I had a pineapple mojito. The GM was very accommodating and made sure to address our concerns. To be honest, the food wasn’t the best and we had to send everything back, but I understand they are new and working on the kitchen still so we will definitely be back to try again after their grand opening.

So happy to see Fat Joe’s in town. I truly hope it last! S. Plainfield needs a bar and grill like this. First, the atmosphere was awesome. Perfect date night, close to home. The waitress was very friendly, as the bar tender and manager were too. Drinks were delicious as were my chicken tacos. They come with fries and I would do tortilla chips, especially since the guacamole was yum, but who doesn’t love fries? Can’t wait to go back again and try a different cocktail. As for now the sangria and pineapple mojito were amazing. When the bill came, it was even better. Date night with cocktails and food, along with tip got $100! Can’t beat that anywhere.
