Always delicious! Worked here when I was 17 as a hostess and it still has that good home down vibe! Food is 10/10, service is good and friendly. The cushions in the booths could use an update. First time trying the carrot cake and it was pretty good! Frosting was superb! My husband and I love to stop in for lunch anytime we are in town. Cannot wait to come back!

Food was good. Kind of a let down that they don’t offer ant jam, jelly, or preserves. Any kind of fruit sauce would have been good with the monte Cristo. The honey, for me at least, is too sweet for the sandwich. Hubby got the French dip which he loved! He enjoyed the fries as well. I got the side of soup with is their version of a jumbolia. It’s a hearty meaty strew. Very good! I could have a while bowl of that! Got the onion rings as an appetizer. They were Really big and super crispy. They were tasty. For dessert hubby got the German cheesecake and I got the key lime pie. Both were very tasty!
Service was great. Everyone was nice, friendly, and helpful. The place was decorated so wonderfully! I loved the teddy bear tree in the back.
I took a gander at the drink list jutbut didn’t get anything. The holiday drinks all sounded Fantastic!
We will be back to try more When my sister is in town I want to bring her for drinks and desserts!

I really don’t think there is a better lunch date spot in town. The place is remarkably clean, our waitress was very friendly and attentive and that I could tell, everything was scratch made to order. I had the New York style cheese steak sandwich with a side of au jus and my wife had the chicken melt. Both were delicious and the crinkle-cut fries (while likely the only thing we sampled that wasn’t house-made) were awesome and cooked perfectly.
Everything from the ranch dressing to the tempura-battered onion donuts was made with care and while the appetizers and entrees stand perfectly fine on their own, you come here for absolutely delectable homemade desserts. I had the apple crumble alamode and my wife had the coconut creme pie and while I thought my dessert was a little too apple-forward, that’s a personal preference of mine and is NOT a knock against the desserts or the fine people that make them.
TL;DR: A warm and welcoming quaint little lunch spot tucked away in Greeley. Come for the scratch made sandwiches and entrees but STAY for the dessert.

Fat Albert’s is a great little spot with tasty food. My husband has been going there since he was a child and took me there for lunch to introduce me to his grandmother when we first started dating. I love so many of the sandwiches, but the French Hen is probably my favorite. And hands down, Fat Albert’s has the best carrot cake I’ve ever eaten. It’s so great that we knew we had to have it for our wedding cake. The restaurant was lovely to work with to figure out the logistics to make cake for 100 people. We decided on a full size cake for our cake cutting, and sheet cakes for the rest of the guests. It was perfect! All of our guests loved the cake just as we do, and were so surprised when they learned that this local Greeley restaurant was the baker. Thank you for helping us bring a sentimental moment to our reception. And now every time we come in for a sandwich and slice, we will get to remember our special day.

Best place to eat. Super friendly staff. Huge portions and the BEST piece of coconut cream pie I have ever had. Sorry no pic of this one because it was devoured. Definitely will make this a regular hangout. Below is the Monte Cristo and a cheeseburger. Thank you!!

We had a family meal at Fat Albert’s recently and we like that it is locally owned and has been around for a long time. While it was okay, I don’t think this is a place we will visit very often. We’re vegetarian so there are only a few items on the menu that we can eat but they do have a few options. The food tasted okay but not awesome or anything and it seemed overpriced for what you got.
We ate there on a weeknight when it wasn’t very busy but there were a few people at the bar and they were pretty loud. We could hear their conversations of the two people at the bar and employee blow by blow and they were much louder than you’d think someone would be when they know they are a few feet from families trying to enjoy a dinner together. So we weren’t thrilled about the atmosphere either.
Since they are supposed to be known locally for their homemade pies, we all tried a slice. One of us had Key Lime Pie, one had Blueberry Cobbler and one had Pecan Pie. The pie was good but not something you’d go out of your way to get and it was $6 a slice which we thought was a little steep. Anyway, like I said, it was not the best and not the worst we ever had just not real memorable or a place we would seek out very frequently. I’m sure for the meat eaters there are probably a lot of good options but I can’t speak to that since I’m a vegetarian and didn’t try any of those items.

Visited Fat Albert’s for the first time tonight. It’s a nice little place with some delicious items on the menu. I had the Canadian Cordon Blue with potatoe skins as my side, very tasty. Server was friendly and the service was quick. We also took some peanut butter pie Togo for later.
Looking forward to our next visit already!

Peanut butter supreme, coconut cream and blueberry pies for a family party. A local buddy recommended to me. Everyone loved them. Yes, I can eat 3 pieces of pie. You can too, if you put enough try into it ;^)

Stopped by for an evening meal with some friends, and I was very pleased with this establishment—one of my favorite eateries for sure.
When we stepped in, we could instantly see and feel the small, cozy, hole-in-the-wall vibe. We ate outside, where the surrounding wall and trees made us feel like we were in our own little world as we ate and talked. The music choice was fantastic—all classics that I found myself humming or singing to during our time there.
We were quickly seated, and our waitress was pleasant, happy to provide us with a few informed recommendations when we were unsure where to start with the extensive menu. Once we ordered, we didn’t have to wait too long for the food to be served.
I had the Monte Cristo with coleslaw, and it was outstanding—I can see why it has remained their best seller over the years, as it was one of the best meals I’ve had the pleasure of eating in recent times. My company likewise agreed that the food was great. Though, a word of caution: the portions can be very big. Even a half-order was enough to provide a full meal for me.
Overall, we were very pleased with our time here, and will definitely come back for more. Unequivocally highly recommend.

Very good! Although their menu prices online are wrong. Everything is a few dollars more expensive when you go in. It’s very well decorated and comfortable, and the servers are very nice.
Although they did break the takeaway box and sent us home with it anyway, having tapped it. Was a little strange but overall fine.
Be prepared for more expensive prices. We went because we thought it’d be on the cheaper end but it wasn’t.
