Its really a great place, with good food, and its locally owned. I miss the old building, but the food quality and service quality has never changed! I highly recommend the burger and philly, but my kid recommends the shrimp and fries!

I like to order the Boudain Balls w/cheese. And my mom recently had the chopped brisket and said she loved it. Definitely a variety of menu options, and all of them have always been delicious.
So glad they opened the Food Trailer when the lease didn’t work out in Nederland. They are back in Groves where there journey began. And it is still the same family and recipes. I hope they continue on for many years with great success. Give them a try if you haven’t, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing RIBS on Thursday’s! They have the food ready in a few minutes. I have never had better ribs. The plate is huge for $12. Try it! I do wish they had green beans as a side. But the rice dressing is good.

It was my first visit! I ordered BLT. It was excellent! Even better, the sandwich was so robust, I ate half in the car and half a couple hours later.

Worst Philly cheese steak I’ve ever had.the first sandwich I got had jalapeno nacho cheese which is supposed to be provolone on a Philly steak. Next sandwich was so soggy bread was so wet I don’t know if they’re keeping the meat in water and just transferred it without drying the meat to the bun but I couldn’t eat that one either cuz it was so mushy and nasty. That’s the second time I’ve gotten bad food from this restaurant I’ll never go back there again. Very disappointed

We had ribs, catfish plate, Buddain balls, pulled pork and apple pies. They were a lot more expensive than we thought they would be.
The small catfish plate I got alone was $13 and it came with 2 medium size pieces of fish and some fries, the fries were sub par and honestly just tasted like DQ or frozen fries, I had to put extra salt on them to make them good however the catfish was fantastic. The ribs came with a lot more for the price but weren’t as tender as we had hoped. The pulled pork was a complete disappointment wasnt a good cut of meat not was it really cooked well and was kinda dry. Their BBQ sauce was good and the catfish was good but we spent like $50 for that and it wasn’t worth it in my opinion. The fried apple pies were okay. And the bbq beans tasted like they were just canned with their sauce thrown in it.

I have always been a cheeseburger basket guy at Fast Freddy’s the meat is exceptional they grilled the Buns on the grill top and everything is just right. Best burger in town however recently I tried their Philly cheesesteak and in my humble opinion it’s better than Jim’s cheesesteak. I also like the freeloader. And the ribs on Thursdays and Fridays are really good too. love to see non-chain restaurants making it
