In our humble opinion, the most lasting memories that Tok, Alaska (a highway intersection town) should leave on its visitors are the beautiful views of mountain ranges in the distance, and a delicious meal stop at Fast Eddy’s.

With a proud reputation of generous servings of all the classic diner comfort foods (plus local AK goodies such as halibut), authentic and attentive service, there’s something here to satisfy even the hangriest traveller. Our burgers had great substance, and were nicely paired with a side of crispy fries, onion rings and a big plate of refreshing salad greens.

For folks who are so inclined, the restaurant has a large buffet-style salad bar right by the front entrance. We have found our single serving of the Chef Salad to have been plentiful already.

The spacious dining area, comfy seats, and pleasant lunch-time buzz of other folks enjoying themselves around us rounded out a great overall experience. If your arrival in town coincides with their opening hours, consider this as our recommendation for a guaranteed great time.

Katie was wonderful. The food was amazing. And what a vibe in this place.

Alaska is a big place, but be sure to stop in at Fast Eddy’s and get the pizza hoagie. The bread makes this thing! Perfection

If you happen to on Wednesday, get the chicken noodle soup. They make the noodles in house! Stellar!

Service was good, the food was decent.

The pizza sauce was a bit bland. but the toppings were generous and the crust was pretty good.

Curly fries were seasoned well.

Halibut burger was not as good as I expected.

Just passing through won’t be trying the rest of the menu.

Went in for a pizza and beer after a long day of driving. Pizza was good! Beer was good! Service was good too. The plates and utensils and glassware were clean – frosty mugs and pitcher. They could invest in a handheld vacuum to take care of the bugs and dust on the windowsill, drapes, booth cracks and the floors. I didn’t use the bathroom, which is usually a true test of cleanliness and what can be expected, but overall, a good experience considering you don’t have many options locally.

First time visiting. I come through Tok, 4 times per month. So I consider myself a local, even though I live in Fairbanks.

All of the food seemed like some pre prepared Sysco stuff. I guess if you like that sort of thing then whatever. I don’t particularly like heat and serve food, especially since I’m paying TOP DOLLAR here in Alaska.

The burger patties on the Alaska burger were extremely small and very much like McDonald’s cheeseburger patties. This was supposed to be their premier burger and huge according to their description on the menu. It was more bread then anything. It was very light on the produce, also.

I’d be ashamed to call it an Alaska burger. It should be called the Bread Burger because that’s what your getting.

There was nothing that felt homemade to me whatsoever.

The female waitresses was aloof and not responsive to me at all. She left me sit for long periods of time while she was doing other tasks in the restaurant or taking care of others.

She seemed to be very responsive to other women patrons and Natives. I hate to sound racist but she was a Native woman so I dunno. She ended her shift at 4 and left. The older white lady was much more responsive to my needs. I guess being an old white guy isn’t accepted at this restaurant when the Native American waitress is working.

I posted a picture of the back of her head so you can have a discussion with her about customer service because it was miserable coming from her.

She basically ignored me and gave me the absolute bare minimum of service. I’ve never been treated like that in my 56 years on this planet.

I was extremely polite to her, as I am everyone I meet out in the world.

I doubt I’ll return even though I frequent the area quite a bit.

Got the halibut fingers & fries. They’re expensive, but since I’m up here in AK, I thought I’d splurge & get halibut. They were very meaty & tasty. Fries were good and just enough. Comes with tartar sauce, but I don’t eat that & got lemon instead. Got waited on quick & the food arrived quick, nice & hot.

One of the best restaurants in Alaska. In a town where choice is limited, you’d expect overpriced food and poor service. But Fast Eddy’s is reasonably priced for Alaska, has a good selection, and service is pretty good considering how busy they always are.

We were staying at the RV park next door and walked over for a late lunch early dinner. Everyone had recommended eating here and we can see why. Service was amazing. Food was amazing. Portions are huge. We ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer. This could’ve been a whole meal for two. There were at least 30 mushrooms. People were coming over to see what we were eating. We even shared a mushroom with someone who was on their way out. We had ordered shrimp baskets as our meal. The shrimp was excellence and the fries were very good. We ended up bringing most of the mushrooms back with us. In fact, we had some of the leftover mushrooms the next day with our dinner in camp. We can’t wait to stop in on our way home and try something else and hopefully have room to try the Xango dessert!!
UPDATE: We stopped in on our way back home and instead of pizza, we decided to get the salad bar. We did the one time salad bar and that was enough food for us. We were saving room for the Xango!!! The Xango was delicious and we are so glad we stopped in again.

Great lunch experience at Fast Eddy’s while passing through on the Alaska Highway. All 3 of us enjoyed our meals—Eddy’s Club on their homemade hoagie was delicious. Service was friendly and prompt. Parking two trailers was easy in the large lot, especially on a quiet winter day. Would return!

Came to Fast Eddy’s as part of a large tour group and was extremely pleased with the quality and service. I chose the ribs and they were perfectly prepared and received a huge portion size. Surprisingly, they also had a great salad bar with tons of choices. Definitely give Fast Eddy’s a shot if you’re in Tok.
