We had a very enjoyable experience @ Farger Lakehouse! We ate brisket off the 55+ menu. The food was delicious, the service was great, even though they were busy. The water they provided was better than most spring water!

My worst dining experience of 2025. When we are camping, my husband and I venture to the nearest town to enjoy dinner. When we were camping nearby, we headed to Yacolt and checked the websites of the local eateries. This place looked good online, so we chose it.
Once inside, we saw the menu online was not the current menu. That happens, not their fault. My husband got a burger, I ordered fish & chips.
Despite the place being deadsville, service was so slow. Again, we weren’t bothered: we’re on vacation-ish, right? But then the food came: his was fine, but my fish was so overdone. And pollock is generally a light, delicate flavor. Whatever they served me was the smelliest, fishiest cut I’ve ever seen. I took one bite, discretely deposited it into my napkin and then browbeat my husband into tasting a bite. He is more fond of fish than I am, but even he agreed that fish was not right. Not one bit right.
I did polish off the fries and didn’t complain to the less-than-warm server. Maybe avoid the fish & chips.
In closing, this is yet another restaurant that needs to figure out what they do. The exterior and menu suggests they’re an upscale place – going for the “modern farmhouse” women who drink wine and shop at Chico’s. But once inside, it’s just a diner. It’s a “breakfast served all day” vibe. They sell pizza and burgers. And that’s fine! Do THAT! Be THAT!
If you want to be upscale, serve better food. If you want to be a Black Bear Diner, don’t charge $30 for rancid fish & chips.

Ashley C provided my son and I with great service. Very attentive without being a hoovering server. The food was outstanding. Brisket was flavorful and tender. The chefs spin on SOS is over the top. Took home two of their house made cinnamon rolls. In our opinion they could use a little more cinnamon but were still good. I do wish they would have had a 3x hoodie.

I am the world’s pickiest eater… So I was reluctant when my wife suggested breakfast at FL. By far the best breakfast I’ve had in a decade… I’m not kidding, I ordered the big breakfast and it was unbelievably delicious, the bacon was amazing, the sausage which I never eat was outstanding, the fried potatoes were flavorful and crispy and a side of sausage gravy for $.50 cents was unbeatable and enough for my wife an I to share. She got the brisket breakfast bowl and was shocked at how tender and tasty everything was. My eggs were cooked perfectly, bacon crispy, and the pancakes are the perfect size and thickness. I have better things to do with my time than leave reviews but this absolutely deserved it. 10/10!! Even the water was pure and clean, purified no doubt. You will not be disappointed, guaranteed.

We enjoyed a Mother’s Day celebration dinner at Fargher Lake house. I had house smoked salmon Mac & Cheese that was baked to finish it, with 2 garlic bread sticks. My wife had the meatloaf hamburgers. Both where well presented and tasty. The Best part was the service. We got all the attention we needed without the staff overwhelming us.

Surprisingly pleasant for a roadside stop worthy of a visit. Given the geography and location, the food, service, and atmosphere is definitely above expectations. Very nice.
Good selections of menu options and a well stocked bar. Friendly service staff and ample parking in the back. Decor very woodsy and fitting for the location and theme. Clean restrooms.
Recommended.

An unexpected gem in an unsuspecting place. My son and I decided to stop in here for dinner. The restaurant is a bit more upscale than we thought. Service was exceptional and the appetizers delicious! The cocktails were reasonable priced and quite good. We tried the spinach with smoked salmon dip, served with fried Naan bread, it was so very good!! The Texas wontons were so good, we ordered more! Now, the entrees were a little disappointing, but our concerns were addressed and taken care of. We will definitely stop in here again, but I think we’ll stick to the appetizers.

Wonderful meal. This was our first visit and we look forward to returning. The service was slow on a Sunday at 5:30pm. It appeared that they may have been understaffed in the kitchen but we were not in a hurry, waitress was attentive, and the food was worth the wait. We had the smoked salmon and bacon wrapped meatloaf. Both were served hot and each were delicious. We look forward to our next visit.

Great place to eat after a long hike! They allowed us to have our dog with us in the outdoor seating area. The waitress was very attentive and brought us a bowl and fresh water for our dog. Fargher lake burger was juicy and delicious.
