We had a really good dinner at Familiar Creature! This is a great place to drink and/or eat, but it is small and gets very busy so make a reservation. Everything we got was very good – we don’t normally eat chicken but the menu was pretty small and we wanted something hearty, but it was so flavorful and juicy. Definitely the star of the show. The potatoes were also amazing, and everything else we got. The drinks were also excellent and they have a lot of mocktail options. This is definitely one of the top restaurants/bars in Saratoga!

Having read about FC and Chef Michelle Hunter we put this on the top of the list while
visiting Saratoga. It did not disappoint. No reservation but we’re able to find a great table outside around 6:00. Service was 10/10. Wine list is sure to please even the most discerning wino and the staff is very knowledgeable. Our server offered to let us try a few wines before we decided. For dinner We shared the roast chicken, potatoes and a beautiful green salad. Everything was excellent. For dessert we couldn’t pass up the house made ice cream which was so good it makes you close your eyes and smile. Do not miss FC and don’t hesitate to stop in without a reservation. If you get lucky like we did, you will leave happy and planning your next trip.

This was our second time eating at Familiar Creature. In the past, we go to a local restaurant when it opens, we have a great time and then when we go back again, we are disappointed. Not so here. This meal, 4 of us shared 6 plates and a dessert. The variety and quality made sure everyone enjoyed. The service was great and we cannot wait to come back again.

Familiar Creature is a must-visit while in Saratoga Springs. The atmosphere is so chic and upscale, yet casual and inviting. The menu is approachable and exciting and everything we tried was 10/10. The hospitality is excellent, making for a memorable experience all around. Visited just a few weeks after they opened and cannot wait to go back!

I just enjoyed dinner here last night, and I must say, it was fantastic. It exceeded my expectations. The food is absolutely delicious, albeit a little pricey. However, when the food is that high of quality, I don’t mind paying a little bit more as a treat once in awhile. We were a party of two and we ordered the half roast chicken, fall salad, potatoes, and baby carrots. It was the perfect amount of food for the two of us to share. We didn’t have any cocktails, we just stuck to water with lemon. Including tip our bill was approximately $100, which we split. They have a few mocktail options on the menu to enjoy. Most of the wine options seemed insanely expensive to me, but I don’t drink wine so it didn’t really apply to me. Definitely a unique spot in Saratoga, and I will be back!

Excellent on all fronts. It had classic French technique with new menu items. Great wine list! I loved the desserts! My only complaint is I just wish they more of a dessert items.

This place is about to be Saratoga’s new hot spot. The dessert is NOT to be missed. The built your own charcuterie is perfectly portioned and the bartenders will get you hooked up with the right wine or a proper cocktail. I am obsessed. Just go.

An excellent meal all around, the staff were friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. My only complaint was the noise, it’s a bit loud when fully crowded. The food was bright but balanced and a real treat. Might be the best curated charcuterie in Saratoga.
