Chicken fried steak felt and tasted like it was old and reheated. Table was sticky and service was extremely slow. Place was empty. This place used to be really good. Haven’t been in a long while and it should have been an obvious sign on a Sunday morning with no one there that it’s a place to avoid. Definitely bummed it’s gone down hill

I really must have arrived at the wrong time. The restaurant was very busy hosting a large party of diners. The tables were a mess. My options were to eat in the rear of the restaurant where the tables were dusty and cobwebs hung from the chairs or outside where I would have to deal with flies. The bathrooms were wrecked. The soap dispenser was inoperable. With all this…I decided to drink heavily and try to enjoy my meal. The drinks were strong and the food was excellent.

Been coming to several of their locations for years. Always good food. I prefer the steak at night. Had a hamburger for lunch today. It was good nothing special but they didn’t screw it up either. Well. Called in 7 hours earlier to get a reservation. Talked to a man on the phone and he was incredibly rude in his tone of voice. When we got there it was busy, which is just fine. Finally after 5 minutes of waiting someone asks us if we have a reservation to which we said we did. Told her our name only to be told that she didn’t have it. We showed the phone call and ask the lady if this was their number and she stated “I have no idea” and proceeded to make us sit outside. 20 minutes went by before she even showed her face again. We immediately left and won’t be returning unless management and professionalism becomes serious. Absolute joke.

Very cool steakhouse in downtown SLO. Limited creekside seating out in the back. We sat in the back inside dining room where we could still see out to the creek. The back dining area was nice and quiet. The service and food were both fantastic! If you like bloody Mary’s then you need to get here, one of the best!
