I ordered delivery and what a disappointment. The curry chicken is lacking flavor, the portion is ok but my most disappointing thing about rice is it being hard! Ruins everything! The jerk pork is a major disappointment! First off lets talk about the almost spoiled sweet flavor im getting. Not sure if its the pork or the jerk seasoning but it’s definitely not right. Only thing saving it was the oxtail gravy i requested over my rice. Second the portion is ridiculous!!!! 3 pieces are just fat and skin which means i was left with 2 little chunks of pork. I understand the prices have gone up in food which is why i was ok ordering a medium for 15.50. That technically use to be a large everywhere and probably still is but I decided to give this restaurant a chance. Bad mistake and a huge let down. For the huge selections of Jamaican restaurants in our area this simply just doesnt even make my top 20 list of just Jamaican restaurants all over the country.

Visited last week it was pretty good. Got some patties for my coworkers they loved them. I returned today patties are $2.50 on the website for all. They charged me $3.50 when I asked why they said the price online on their website hasn’t been updated but yet the third party app they use also had the $2.50 prices. I’m like okay whatever it’s a dollar. I asked for the Irie Pasta and again online it’s $10.95 they charged me $14.95 for cheese and overcooked pasta. No meat at all in the pasta. Don’t bother they don’t care for their customers and there are plenty of other Caribbean restaurants in the area. Prices aren’t “updated” but yet they recently opened so bs.

I do not ever do these but the lack of care for customer service did it for me . I placed an order tru grubhub I get the food and not only is the container falling apart soak from the food I open the oxtail (that I was charge 21.99 plus tax) and their I find an overwhelming amount of tasteless rice, and 6 super small pieces of oxtail (and yes I know is expensive but that’s why I order cause it’s what I wanted cabbage side look like fry onion. So here is the review on the food rice had no taste , the oxtail was cooked in something sweet like bbq sauce it did not taste like Jamaican food is supposed too, the side of cabbage was so over cook there was no crunch on it 1/10 for flavor . Here is when I feel I have to write this review I call the restaurant I speak to a young lady (she was NOT rude) and when I ask hey you guys charge me 21.99 +tax for 6 quarter size pieces of oxtail and all this rice she stated something like yes it depends on something and then silence I was expecting she would had said ok well next time this or that but the silence was so awkward I just said ok thank you and hung up . After much though and sleeping on it I decide that I will write this review because I don’t care about PAYING for anything anyone that know me knows but the blunt disrespect of ignoring me while I called and this tasteless food yea did not sit well. I will be sharing this on all my social media cause I think is important that just as a consumer I pride my self in supporting my local community that those merchants also respect the value of a client. I do not recommend this place and the service was 0/10 . Good taste 1/10 will never place an order with them.

The people in these reviews know nothing about good jerk food. The “rice and peas” had four beans in the entire tray (yes, I counted) Rice was over cooked and mushy. Chicken was absolutely stale and dry, cabbage look old and had a funny taste. I should have known when I pulled up and the place was empty.

Food was really good, well seasoned. The place is decorated nicely as well, but the girl at the counter is not nice to every customer. She was nice to the couple in front of me, but she had attitude with me. Not pleasant, didnt ask me how I was or conversed with me like she did the other people there. My daughter noticed her attitude towards me as well. She made my meal after she made the 3 people behind me meal. She should be pleasant to ALL who walks through.

I was recommended to Everything Irie by a coworker. She was not kidding when she said the food at this restaurant is really good. I believed her so I tried it. And I am not disappointed. The only thing that disappoints me is that I didn’t ask for two of what I ordered. I mean seriously, the last time I ate food this good I was in Jamaica! The person that referred me is a Jamaica native herself, and knows her spices. So I have no doubt that she knows what good Jamaican food tastes like. Not only was the food excellent (no need to add any extra spice – my compliments to the chef) but so was the service. The person that waited on me was so professional when I said I don’t know if I like the jerk sauce. She didn’t get offended. She just explained the process and did everything with a smile. The name of the restaurant is so appropriate. I just have one thing to say, “everything Irie!”

Best Jamaican food in Bridgeport. So far I order stew peas, jerk chicken, rice, mac and cheese all excellent. My extremely picky eater husband loves the stew chicken. I love that they have variety. This restaurant will be my to go Jamaican spot from now.

After reading a few positive reviews I decided to give it a try. I ordered jerk chicken, rice n peas with cabbage. EVERYTHING WAS NOT IRIE! My food was cold, rice was dry and barely had any peas. The reason I rated my experience a 2 is because of the flavors . Although it was cold, the chicken was well seasoned and so was the veggies (just wish there was more cabbage). I want them to win, perhaps I will try them closer to noon as opposed to an hour before closing.
