Such a disappointing night. We came in for the date night special, and granted $50 for two people at a nice restaurant is pretty cheap, but the appetizer portions were tiny. We thought they’d be the regular portions when you order an appetizer. Especially since it’s supposed to serve two! At least the drinks were decent.
The date night special was three appetizers. The pastrami was good, the cauliflower poppers were great as usual, and the (3) wings were ok – but a little salty.
They also brought us beer bread which was good.
As we were still hungry after the tiny apps portion we ordered the butchers board and a Caesar salad.
The butchers board came with tarts which were decent, steak tartare which was ok, and a duck pate which was nauseating. I told the server and hostess about the pate and they said it was definitely fresh and it just has a “gamey” taste some people don’t like. Maybe. But I love beef and chicken liver and all other types of meat. But ok. I didn’t ask for a refund despite not touching it after the first taste. I would have felt better if they offered something to make up for that – either a discount or bowl of soup.
The ceasar salad wasn’t good. The roasted garlic was nice, but couldn’t salvage the bleh salad.
Service was overall good, but we didn’t go out to be smiled at as much as to eat good food.
Dessert was some sort of lemon bread pudding, which turns out to be recycled beer bread with a little lemon curd. The lemon curd was good, but I thought the beer flavor was pretty weird in a dessert.
Left Etc, again, disappointed.

I had the short ribs with chocolate sauce and sweet potato chips and it was unbelievable. The French fries were also amazing. I highly recommend.

Placing and adjusting the Reservation was easy using Google. Upon arrival, the staff was super friendly and sat us down at a nice table. The entire dinner, the staff were attentive while not overbearing. The food was reasonably priced buck for pound. The 12oz steak was done per Chef recommendation medium/rare and although we asked for more medium than rare, it simply stayed at the chefs recommendation, ok, and accepted. The 12oz is not a lean cut, it is fact very marbly. The potatoes and sauce are salty and overwhelming with Garlic. Love the salt, but it was just a bit over the top with the Garlic, my opinion would have the Chef replacing that with a mild Cayan (yeah not too hot – so you won’t chase away the Ashkenaz crowd) but the Garlic was a bit over the top. Ceaser Salad, great, nice and salty, but again all that garlic was not necessary. The duck was OK, the dark seemed fine, but the breast, well I did not know what to make of it. The risotto bed under the duck, again, Salty (liked the salt) but overwhelming with Garlic. The steak Tocos were great. My overall review is that this place offers a pleasant setting with good service at a reasonable price, but the food is ehhh, a little better/robust seasoning without all that Garlic would greatly raise the my rating of this place. Thanks for reading! Zev

Had the 7 course tasting menu.. Was the best restaurant experience ( Food and Service) this foodie had ever had. My wife who’s not a foodie and is not an adventurous eater, went out of her comfort zone ( After some convincing/pleading) and joined me for the tasting menu, She also agreed that it was the best and most enjoyable experience she’s ever had. As an added bonus, was not overpriced for what we got. Worth the trip, hope to try the 13 course tasting menu next.

Superb foodie experience. Did a thirteen course menu for a special birthday celebration. Everything was delicious, cooked beautifully, and filling. Chef Seth is a culinary genius. This is a restaurant you don’t want to miss.

Nice quaint Kosher restaurant in Teaneck. Went with a party of about 10 for a celebration. Servers were nice and fast. Appetizers were good especially the Buffalo cauliflower. The Duck Pate was ok. Steak tacos were a little dry.
I got the ribeye for the entree which was ok- nothing special. Other people got the hanger steak which they commented was also ok. Filet was very dry. Fries were a little soggy. Baklava had no crisp at all- was almost like a tres leches to me. Overall good experience with good service but definitely have had better steak.

Really good meal. Really good service. Eclectic menu — tried some stuff that I haven’t had before. Even things that weren’t my cup of tea were yummy. Peppercorn filet was hum out loud good. For dessert I recommend the mousse. Chocolate chips on top of the mousse was a nice touch. Appetizer portions were smaller than I expected.

Went there with my husband for date night. The steak was juicy it just melted in your mouth. The portions are generous. The service was excellent. Great atmosphere . Would definitely return as it was worth every penny. Thank you Roberto and Sean you were both very pleasant, and always had genuine smile on yourface.
I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for great food, and a great atmosphere .
