A+ prompt and friendly staff. The food was fabulous and loved the atmosphere. I was really impressed by this restaurant. Will definitely be coming back. Both salsa that came with chips are really good but loved the I guess molcajete salsa more it has texture lots of flavor and not too spicy. I asked for a medium rare steak and was deliciously juicy and tender. The wrapped stuffed shrimp was so good. The flan would look a tad better with a cherry on top but was delicious.

After 7 years of coming here I’m finally done with the inconsistencies and moving on! The final straw was this last time I came here I almost chipped my front tooth on a small bone that was in there chicken quesadillas. I pointed out to the older lady, who I thought was possibly the owner since I’ve always seen her almost every time I came here. She almost denied that it was a bone, possibly thought I was lying. She offered me another one but I said it’s okay I’ll just be more careful when I’m chewing my food!…….. Now on to the next issues. I always come in and get a half order of Ernesto’s platter, but the past year I have come in to eat, the meats, (whether it’s beef or chicken), always makes me question myself is this fresh meat or is this processed out of a can. Some days the meats taste more bland than other times. The past few times my fried stuffed jalapenos have been soft and mushy instead of crispy and crunchy. I always loved their chips and salsa, with the variety of red salsa, roasted salsa, and black bean dip. But it seems their salsas have become watered down to save on inventory. It’s an effort to get anything to stick to my chips. Some days the salsas didn’t taste very fresh or as spicy. In the back of my mind I started to think and wonder if they put leftover salsas they pick up from the tables back into the batch! I have always left at least $5 tip on my lunch ticket. Not sure why I have been getting inconsistent flavor with my food!

This place is fantastic. You have to give it a try with the family or even if dining alone. Large portions and authentic cuisine. You will not be disappointed here.

It was Tuesday so I had the taco special. It was tasty if unexceptional. I didn’t have a margarita but I saw them passing by and they looked outstanding in stature.
Great service and nice atmosphere too.

Ordered chili relleno with beef w cheese rice and beans. Anyone who eats rellenos knows that they are deep fried and either queso or ranchero sauce comes on top. I got queso like substance. The relleno was clearly microwaved as it was all soggy and the ground beef inside was NOT fresh but thawed and the runway of cheese was not melted. The rice tastes like uncle been microwave 2 minutes rice. The beans albeit prob canned tasted fine. WHEN AN EATERY MICROWAVES food instead of making it fresh Please Tell Your Customers. Our total meal with tip was $53 I could have done this myself at home for less. We’ve eaten at Ernesto’s in Prosper many times ordering fajitas. Had I know other items were not fresh I would have stuck with the fajitas. WARNING THE FOOD IS NOT AUTHENTIC NOR FRESH! Too bad, truly disappointed. And the queso WHAT is this thick fluff of goo you call cheese?

The food was delish! The chips and salsa that came out before the meal had 2 different types of salsa, one was warm, both were AMAZING! I got the Chili Relleno, which was really tasty and not too expensive! The Nachos Locos appetizer (not pictured) was also very tasty as well! Eating out with family members who have dietary restrictions such as no gluten, eggs, or dairy, this place was able to accommodate us very well with everything still being great! Our family of 4 ate for a great price!

Was greeted fast due to the restaurant being dead. That should have been the first red flag. The best part about the food here was the chips and salsa… I ordered the fish tacos (tilapia) grilled, when they came out they were fried and very greasy, when I tried a bite it was so hot felt like it just came out of a microwave. They had no taste, I asked for more chipotle sauce to try to see if that helped but the server forgot to bring it to me so I didn’t even try and finish them.. The beans had an odd taste like they were sitting out for a while, they weren’t even warm. My husband got the chicken con cream and it was very watery, the chicken was bland and cold. I’ll be surprised if we don’t get food poisoning from this place.

Ordered water, tasted like it came out of the lake! Disgusting. My husband ordered the fish tacos tasted like card board. It was awful. Not sure where they get that their food is fine Mexican food because it definitely isn’t. We shouldn’t have went to taco bell! Will not be going back, ever.

We frequent the Frisco location so thought this would be a good place to stop after a day on the lake. The restaurant was nice and clean, including bathrooms. The staff was very friendly, but the food was not good. My husband and I had cheese enchiladas and they were barely warm. The cheese wasn’t melted. My daughter’s quesadilla was also cold and didn’t look like it had even been grilled. It seemed like all the food was not fresh and was reheated in the microwave. We would not visit this location again.
