The food was nothing to rave about, not even the steak however the portions were huge and well priced.
Sunday at noon is still a very packed day. I would imagine it’s hard to find a table (which you find yourself rather than be given a table) but the counter seating is just fine too.
The staff is very welcoming. Despite running around with a whole list of tasks one of them, a blond lady, stopped to randomly chat with me. She had a very sweet personality.
It’s a place to stop by.

This place offers great service, the food is dangerously delicious I was almost tempted to eat all of it in one sitting.
The place has indoor and outdoor seating for your convenience and they have a cool trendy crowd.
Parking is just street parking but it’s all nearby. Plus it’s in the heat of downtown Encinitas right between Moonlight Beach and Swami’s so you even go for a nice walk, local shopping, or both.

It’s a great restaurant to eat breakfast, brunch and snacks. Right in the heart of downtown Encinitas and few blocks from the beach. We enjoyed our delicious food with outside seating. Their chicken fried steak has a perfect crunch outside and tender inside. The gravy was really flavorful too. Staff was really friendly too an added bonus.

This is a local hang out out and I eat here with a friend that eats here almost daily. Good comfort food , great service and lots of breakfast and lunch combinations. They also had a gluten free toast for my breakfast. Also plenty of healthy options like fruit, granola and whipped cream. Looks like they are always busy but plenty of tables and booths.

This place is the best. Dreaming about breakfast. Love that they have heinz ketchup bottles and log cabin syrup bottles on the tables. Food is traditional, classic. The best thing about the food is that is is cooked the right way. The little things like ordering hash browns well done, or eggs over medium, if not executed correctly, can ruin a meal. Not here. The staff is also extremely professional. Everything a customer needs is offered. Wish they had this place back home. Highly recommended.

Desi was our waitress. She treated us with a smile and was very friendly. Our Pork Chops and Eggs were delicious. Debbie came by and was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. A big shout-out to Javier who is the Cook but played the role of Busboy for the day. He was running around non-stop refilling coffee cups and picking up the dishes and welcoming and sitting all incoming new customers. He truly showed care with a smile and genuine hospitality for this place. We’re locals to Encinitas, so we’ll frequent it more often. Thank you.

I love cafés like this! Although it was busy and took some time for someone to come by, overall, it was a good experience. I ordered the corned beef hash with eggs, and the waitress, who was nice, mentioned that they make the corned beef in-house. That convinced me to give it a try, and it didn’t disappoint—it was delicious!
The side of cottage cheese was also huge. Usually, when I go to breakfast spots, they only provide a tiny portion, but here, it was more than enough.

Encinitas Cafe was solid enough. Great outdoor seating, food was okay. It wasn’t the best and it wasn’t the worst. I think if you don’t have any other option, go for it! It didn’t wow me enough to go back. But I did like what we got. Just not enough.
