Enat is a nice little family run restaurant. We were greeted, i would assume to be the mom. She was very nice and friendly. We were in town for the weekend from Toronto and wanted some homey meals. We have been to many Ethiopian restaurants all over Canada, and this place would have to be top so far. The injera!!! It was so fresh- my husband couldn’t stop raving about it. The whole platter was made fresh and delicious! And i had to top it off with some Ethiopian coffee- yumm!! The only thing i would suggest is for them to turn up the heat – cus it was a bit cold. Would definitely return again and 10000% recommend to anyone visiting London.

Highly recommended! There is nothing like it! The food is some of the most delicious that I have ever experienced and the hospitality is even better.

The owners and staff are very friendly and kind. They told us some of their traditional customs and helped us pack the food up.

Portions are big and food is absolutely unique and so healthy.

I can’t get enough and will return for more.

We had the Platter and Mushroom Tibbs along with the Ethiopian Coffee which was terrific.

If you’re thinking about it, I absolutely do recommend it.

Great place to try authentic Ethiopian food. The portions are not big but they are enough for the experience. Aside from that, the place is modesty air conditioned so if you are sensitive to heat, I would recommend take out.

Cozy, fun and so very yummy! It was my first visit to this location of ENAT. Didi took very good care to answer questions about the menu and guide myself and my friend to the wonderful choice of a platter of 5 different lentil, vegetable, beef & chicken curries. I loved using the injera bread (beneath the curries) to scoop up the food and pop the juicy goodness into my mouth! I’ll be back!

Our first time to try Ethiopian food. I got the enat platter while my husband got the mild beef tibbs. I didn’t really enjoy and couldn’t finish what I ordered because I didn’t expect it to be so spicy. Husband liked the mild beef tibbs and so did I. It’s mild and there’s umami flavour. Would like to try again in the future and maybe will ask the server which other ones are mild aside from the beef tibbs. Staff was nice. Place looked very Ethiopian and nice. There were some flies flying around tho, probably because of the ongoing construction in front

I love Ethiopian food. First off let me say this is my favourite type of place — a “hole in the wall” , small, unpretentious, basic, absolutely nothing fancy about it, plastered walls with ancient wainscoting, and travel posters of Ethiopia on the wall. The best places I have eaten at are like this. And Enat will feed you more than you can reasonably handle — no small portions that I saw. My wife and I tried the Enat platter with a side order of Shiro Wot, and I will say I was — a little disappointed. The food was by no means bad — the kale and cabbage based dishes were done perfectly in fact. The Shiro Wot was good if a bit oily, the Doro Wot was very good. But what troubled me were two things — the spices being used for the dishes were not the ones I am familiar with for the same dishes, and it shames me that I don’t know what they are, but it wasn’t the same. But that just made it different, not really disappointing, but not what I had been looking forward to. On the plus side the chef isn’t afraid to add a bit of heat to the dishes and I liked that. The disappointment was the injera, the pancake like flatbread that serves both as food and utensil. And even then, the appearance and texture were fine. But what was missing was the taste. Injera is made with a grain called teff, and when made into a batter it is left to ferment for a few days so it develops a tangy flavour when cooked, almost citrusy. This taste works with all the other spices and seasonings and gives the overall meal its balance. And the injera I had, while moist and light like it should be, lacked that tang, and was more like a crepe or a dosa wrap. And I really, really missed that. Now, that all said, the meal was still quite good, the portion huge, the service friendly, and it was overall a good value. Ethiopian restos are few and far between in this country in my opinion so I’m always happy to find one, even if it was different from expectations. I’ll give it another go sometime.

Never been here never want to after talking to someone who is a wheelchair user and she showed up for her food since it is not wheelchair accessible, she called in saying she was there and was ignored for 30 minutes and she left and never returned!! Neither would I that’s disgusting service and you guys should be ashamed!! At any point you could become disabled would you want people to treat you like that? Like you’re a dog outside undeserving of the food you ordered? Hope you realize you can get in trouble with the human rights code! Honestly I’m thinking about calling around I find this very unacceptable!

Once you enter the restaurant, you feel immersed in Ethiopian culture. The owner was so lovely and attentive! The food is also absolutely FANTASTIC. It was fairly priced and you get a ton of food for the price! There was also vegan options which was lovely! I would recommend everyone try this restaurant.

It’s like stepping into another world. Ethiopia is rich with culture and history, and it’s shown in atmosphere. The food transports me to a different place, it’s incredible. I highly recommend trying this place once just to experience great Ethiopian food. I recommend getting the Enat Platter
