My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this place and the food! Everything was well portioned and very thoughtfully packaged! We ordered a vegetarian platter to go, and instead of throwing everything into the takeout tray together, the servers carefully packaged each of the veggie dishes and little containers and packaged the I injera separately. Service was fast in hospitable, and we will definitely be back again (probably before the end of the week)! From the outside, the location is very unassuming, but once you walk inside, you feel the history and love which comes through in the food. Fine cuisine for sure! The owner is so kind and personable, and very hands on in servicing customers. Oh, and the tiramisu is amazing!

I’ve been here several times, it’s a go to whenever we have family or friends visiting, as most of them have never had ethiopian food before. It’s a great option for people with dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy, meat). We always get the veggie combo and then add 2 meat or fish dishes. There’s plenty for 4 people.

I wish I read some of the more recent reviews. I ordered from here today and was very disappointed. We have previously ordered from here and always enjoyed the food, however, something recently has changed. The food portion was shockingly small and when we complained about it we were met with an aggressive and dismissive response from the manager who hung up on us. Sadly, this will be the last time we order food from here.

Living in LA, we are spoiled with Little Ethiopia on Fairfax Ave. So many options. I was very impressed with Enat’s veggie combo. It was delicious and one of the best Ethiopian meals I have ever had. The injera was perfection. One of the veggie dishes was a wasabi-flavored lentil dish. I had never seen any other Ethiopian restaurant offer this dish. The wasabi was SO intense, but it cleared up my senses. I ordered takeout two days in a row. They saw me outside with my fur nephew so they brought the check and food to me. Great service! I highly recommend this restaurant if you love Ethiopian food!

I was staying across the street and came in because of the good reviews. Great atmosphere with Ethiopian pop music from YouTube on the TVs and lots of people hanging out. Food was delicious and spicy. Fun fact: the owner brought the old boombox zip tied to the column next to the bar with him from Ethiopia years ago.

A family-operated, casual and authentic Ethiopian experience. Highly recommended for bold flavors and careful preparation of vegetarian meals.

My go to Ethiopian spot. I bring friends here and really enjoy the food. This time I went it felt like they skimp on the meat and flavor (lamb tibs) and changed/subbed different veggies on the platter or duplicated (we ordered an entree of collards). I recommend getting the tea. I usually get the same thing each time. I am hoping this was just a mishap visit and everything will be back to normal like how I remembered the past years I’ve been coming.

We ordered some food after work with my non Ethiopian friends. The portion was so small, the fish and the injera was so dry. It doesn’t taste at all. I think they don’t care. Thos is going to be my last take away order. I will never ever order again.

I order pasta with meat souce and it comes completely trashed it smells so bad and I ate the spaghetti and immediately had to run to the bathroom to vomit because the food smelled bad. Afterwards, I couldn’t even open the container again due to the odor. When I called the merchant to report this, he cursed at me, hung up the phone, and showed no professionalism or concern. He didn’t even apologize for the situation I was going through. His behavior was extremely rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. Not only was I served unsafe food that made me ill, but I was also treated with complete disrespect when I tried to address the problem.
This shows a clear lack of care for both customer health and customer service. No one should have to experience being insulted and ignored after reporting food that is clearly unfit to eat.i don’t recommend for anyone !
