Benvenuti Nella Mia Cucina, Belli De Nonna! Before we dive into the delicious feast prepared for you, let me give you a little taste of my vita. I was born in the heart of Rome, and I’ve been cooking up a storm my entire life! My cucina has always been the center of the universe for my 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, their friends, loved ones, and acquaintances – everyone was always Benvenuto! Now, we’ve brought that same love and flavor right here to San Diego. My beloved grandson, Niccolo’, and his amore, Cesarina, are opening the doors of my Cucina with the same warm heart and passion. Wondering how I made it to 95? Well, it’s simple: I ate everything that’s served here and filled my life with amore! So, Benvenuti!

Food was amazing & the physical aesthetic of the space was great! Our waitress was super sweet but the hostesses clearly did not want to be there. They had air pods in and a super awkward vibe, like we were bothering them. Elvira did such a great job curating a fun environment, but it was off putting that the first staff we interacted with wasn’t welcoming. We were celebrating a birthday and received an affogato and polaroid picture of our group which was also a nice touch!

My husband and I just moved to OB and have driven past this place a few times now and it looks really cute and we wanted to try it! We went tonight, I wasn’t sure how busy would get so I made reservations on short notice which not required but would recommend just to secure your spot and not have to wait. It is the cutest Italian restaurant, recipes being handed down through the family originating from Rome italy. The service is super nice, warm, and friendly. The vibe reminds you of a family home that’s cozy and warm. My husband ordered the fettuccine Ragu and I ordered the fettuccine maiale, we both loved our dishes! They are pretty filling so unfortunately we do not have room for dessert after. The table next to us ordered some cheesecake though that looked really tempting so I’d definitely like to leave room for dessert next time! Overall had such a wonderful dining experience, I can’t wait to make this regular spot to go back to in our new OB home!

Had our company dinner at Elvira and Andreea was the absolute best! She checked in on us throughout the night, was super attentive, and honestly brought the best vibes. The food was amazing, and would definitely recommend Elvira to my friends and family!

Wow, Elvira was such a breath of fresh air! I’m not a fan of Italian food but we visited Elvira for a family birthday and were so impressed. It’s a closed-quarters and well-decorated restaurant with lots of ties to Italian culture all around. The staff were so eager to share their knowledge about the menu, and were able to answer our niche questions. They give complimentary bread which was delicious, and they replenish it as well! For the main course, we ordered the chicken, pork, and the carbonara pasta. All came at a reasonable time and were big portions, so consider splitting with someone else if you’re not too hungry. The chicken was well-seasoned and comes with great sides, including the broccoli and potato wedges. This was a hearty meal and each bite got better! It was my sister’s birthday, which I indicated on the reservation, so they had someone come and take a complimentary Polaroid photo for us! Overall, a wonderful family experience complete with great food and service, almost as if we were in Italy!

Went to try Elvira because I am an avid fan of Ceserina and this is their sister restaurant. The food was great and so was the atmosphere. We ended up sitting at the bar because we wanted to eat earlier at than our reservation. It was super busy even at 5:45 on a Saturday. Cocktails were delicious!

Amazing staffing, service, and fun yet homey atmosphere that is comfortable and pleasing. I’m not allergic to anything, but they seem very accommodating and open to helping. The food is to die for and they have many-an-option of paired wine choices that enhances and/or changes the dining experience for the better. Plenty of food to eat or save for tomorrow. What an amazing experience. We decided to come to celebrate our anniversary and being newly engaged. Chris was our server and he blew us away. Service was spectacular. Chris treated us to champagne as a celebration. It was incredibly generous and truly made our night. He knew the menu like the back of his hand and answered all our questions. Food and drinks were spectacular. Truly an amazing experience and couldn’t thank Chris enough. Would recommend to a friend!

We had visited Cesarina in October and were excited to try Elvira this past week. We come from Phoenix to OB twice a year and these two locations have the best Italian Food around. The pasta is always fresh and the staff is top notch! We can’t wait to come back!!

A group of us ate here for New Year’s Eve and it was a great experience! The food is delicious, and the staff are friendly and unpretentious. I only got a pic of the antepasto. Everyone’s food was fresh and tasted great. Definitely on my list now. Great date night spot.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here tonight and we were blown away! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with congratulations from multiple staff members from the host, to our server, Chris, to the runner who brought us our complimentary celebratory dessert. Chris, from start to finish took care of us, veered us in the right direction and the food did not disappoint! We ordered a pizza and pasta to share and I ordered a glass of red wine. The service? Impeccable! 10/10 would recommend! It’s now our anniversary spot! We can’t wait to go back!
