Very nice little place. I took my mom for her birthday because she had heard good things about the crab cakes. We both ordered the single crab meal. This comes with a salad and a choice of two sides. Started with an amazing salad it is served Olive Garden style with a type of creamy Italian dressing. They bring you breadsticks, which I ordered a side of Alfredo to dip in. Service was really good. Crab cake was the best I ever had. The mixed vegetables are a must. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I used to go there all the time because we loved the food and endless salad. However, we have not been back for months because of our last experience. There was no music playing, and our waitress was unbelievably rude. She basically threw down our dinner dishes. Then my husband’s lasagna was still cold in the middle, and the waitress gave more attitude about it saying, “What do you want me to do about it?” We don’t want that kind of service like that again, so we haven’t returned.

The crab cakes are excellent, the Cole slaw is really good if you like creamy, and the bread sticks are lightly herbed with something I couldn’t identify but were certainly tasty. Waitress was helpful and courteous on spite of me being the only guest and I was there rather late. Sinatra on the music system.

The waitresses are nice. The food is not so great. My crab dip had some plastic wrapping mixed in with it. We sent it back and our waitress brought out one that was plastic free, but the dip had more cream cheese in it than crab. My daughter ordered lazagna and the bottom of the lazagna was cold. We sent it back and they replaced it with a hot piece of lazagna. My husband ordered a combo dinner (chicken florentine, shrimp and steak) , he asked for the steak to be cooked well done, but they gave him a medium well steak and drenched the plate with Alfredo sauce for the pasta and chicken. The plate looked like soup with beef and shrimp swimming in it. We sent that plate back and asked for them not to try again. Our only pleasant experience was the waitresses.

So this place has potential to be great, but it was unfortunately lacking. I went with a party of four (two kids, two adults.) It was a Tuesday night, and pretty dead, except for us. Our waitress was friendly, and none of my complaints relate to her at all. If I could give her a separate review and give her five stars, I would do so.
So let’s get to the food… we asked for a side of alfredo sauce to have with our unlimited breadsticks. The sauce was bland and I am very happy nobody ordered it on a pasta.
The breadsticks were cool, but each was completely different in size and texture. Some were large and doughy and some were skinny and crisp.
When our family-style salad arrived, it was topped with four croutons, three little pieces of cumcumber (maybe two, but I am being generous) and three cherry tomatoes. Our waitress was really nice and let us all pick our own dressing, but the salad was completely lacking in the vegetable department.
Now, about the entrees…. My friend stuck to what they are known for and ordered the crab cakes. His meal was pretty good, no complaints, although he was in the bathroom the rest of the night. I had a penne vodka with shrimp. The sauce was so oily, it broke apart as you moved it in the dish it was served in. It was also a bland sauce, no real flavor. The shrimp were so overcooked, they were rubbery. Who doesn’t like oily, overcooked shrimp? LOL One of the kids got the same meal as me, and neither of us took home our leftovers (which were substantial) or even ate the protein out of it. The other kid got buttered pasta and a meatball, which really, how could you mess that up? Well, the meatball was underwhelming, but she ate it.
We figured we would get dessert because we were still pretty hungry since we didn’t eat our dinner. We shared a raspberry cheesecake and a piece of chocolate mousse cake… both were 5.99 each, and for the size and fact that they were probably frozen and thawed out, nothing special. Even the whipped cream tasted gross and different from normal whipped cream.
I am not sure what is going on in that kitchen, but at least he has a good wait staff. Our waitress took off one of the gross pastas, but our bill after tip and everything was still almost 100 bucks… so for the money, we will be taking our business elsewhere, maybe Trieste, which is two blocks away and has a phenomenal vodka penne!
Avoid if possible.

Crab cakes are the best I’ve had, and the crab cake platter is a satisfying meal. The pasta’a really good, too. Great for dinner out or to take home. BYOB, great food, and friendly service.

The food was very good and we liked the BYOB part of it too. The service was horrible. Our waitress didn’t know if she was coming or going. We were there for an hour and 45 minutes which is way to long for dinner. Might try it again but very worried about waiting for ever for everything again.
