Reviews
I visited Elmwood Pastry Shop today and picked up a variety of items — pastries, donuts, cookies, croissants, and cannolis. Unfortunately, everything I tried had an old, stale taste to it. None of the items were very fresh or flavorful, which was disappointing considering how nice the selection looked. I really wanted to enjoy this bakery, but the quality just wasn’t there during my visit.
The owner graciously welcomed our group, contributing a gift card for our pasta dinner raffle and permitting us to display our promotional poster in the shop.
This level of community involvement and hospitality speaks volumes about the business’s dedication to supporting local initiatives.
The staff further enhances the experience with their sweet and helpful demeanor, making every visit pleasant and inviting.
Beyond their exceptional service, Elmwood Pastry Shop delights patrons with an impressive array of decadent sweets, offering a multitude of flavors and varieties, all crafted on-site.
This commitment to quality and community makes Elmwood Pastry Shop a beloved local establishment worthy of high praise.
Thank you for your hospitality and donation

Hello,
I’m writing to share a very disappointing experience I had with a recent custom cake order and to give you an opportunity to address it directly.
I placed a custom cake order on 12/26 for pickup at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, 12/29. On Sunday morning, I received a phone call informing me that the cake would instead need to be picked up a day early, between 1:00–3:00 p.m. While this was inconvenient, I did my best to accommodate the change.
I sent my husband and daughter to the bakery at 1:30 p.m., only for them to be told that the cake had already been given to someone else. They were required to wait until this stranger returned with the cake before they could leave with the order I had paid for.
I called the bakery shortly afterward to express my concern and to give you the opportunity to apologize or offer some form of resolution. Unfortunately, I was placed on hold and then disconnected. When I attempted to call back, my call went directly to voicemail.
For a small custom cake costing over $50, I expected a much higher level of care and customer service. Mistakes can happen, but how they are handled matters just as much. I was hoping for a professional response and resolution, but instead felt dismissed.
I am reaching out one final time in hopes that you will address this situation appropriately. I would appreciate hearing back from you.
This time you almost got it right… Except you’re really didn’t. I was charged for an eclair that I did not receive which is better than a $15 sandwich that I did not receive I suppose.
Let’s just say, since this bakery has changed hands it’s absolutely crap and you do nothing to make up for your mistakes ever no matter how many times I have reported them to you.
