I have been going to this restaurant occasionally for years. It’s one of only a few restaurants that serve you food so hot that you have to wait for it to cool before you can eat it. That’s a very hard thing for a restaurant to do. The food is absolutely delicious. Basic American food.. You can still get lunch here for 10 bucks. It’s one of the best kept secrets of Manatee County. And the service is exceptional. The staff that waits on you gets it.

Found this place a few weeks ago. Kinda hidden in the corner of the strip mall. Had a great brunch with family, food was fresh, with good portions and friendly service. Decor is a little dated, but really is part of the charm. Met Nick the owner. Have been back twice since then for breakfast and lunch. The cheese omelet was hot and tasty and the turkey club was quite large with nice fresh tomatoes. The french fries are a little different but they were hot and flavorful. Wait staff have always been friendly. The cost is on par with or even less that fast food places like Arby’s or Subway. They are going to be open on Friday’s until 7pm with a fish fry option so am going to try that next.

I had business to do in another shop in that plaza and saw this cute little café on the end. I had never seen it before and decided to pop in and give it a try. I was not disappointed. The location is small and it is not fancy, but the food was good and the service was good. My order came out quickly and was a pretty decent size order. My server came with a reasonable time with a drink refill which I deeply appreciated. I’m glad I stopped in and I will definitely be back again. They also offer a few outdoor tables as well.

Grabbed a quick chef salad here for lunch. Everything was fine. Restaurant seems a favorite with the locals, so that tells you it’s fairly good. My salad was large. Prices were fair.

Short on time and stopped in for a quick meal. I ordered the combo that included eggs, toast, potatoes, and fried bologna……. haven’t had that in ages. Hit the spot. My husband ordered the Italian sub with fries and he enjoyed it. It wasn’t busy we went. Our waitress lauren was awesome. Prices average.

DO NOT COME HERE! Under the new management this place is horrible. The food here feels manufactured and right out of a frozen box to be heated in a microwave. There are many places that around the area that blow this place out of the water. Butterfields Cafe right down the road has food that puts this to shame. The food they serve at Ellenton Cafe is food i wouldn’t even feed to my dog. Its nasty. Im surely disappointed. DO NOT COME HERE!

Adorbs place tucked in at the end of a strip mall. We went at 10:45 am on a Sunday and got right in (although it’s mid-July and a lot of people are gone for the summer)
Our waitress was Jill and she was great! I love that she asked me if I wanted my corned beef hash well done ( I love a good crisp!)
