The “No Cellphone” policy at 1122 Speakeasy in Paso Robles might have limited my usual share of vibrant cocktail photos for my review, but it certainly didn’t hamper the overall experience. We got the feel they were after and managed to take a few exterior pictures.

Had 4 cocktails here, all were amazing. Seating for myself and one other was comfortable. Def liked the style of the place and the furniture. Be ready to wait but it is worth it. If just 2-4 people the wait shouldn’t be more than 20-30 mins.

It’s like stepping back to a prohibition era speakeasy. The cocktails were creative and delicious. The best part is the staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and friendly. I especially enjoyed our bartender Eric. He made our evening incredibly memorable and fun. I would go back just to get another drink from him.

What a great place. They really supply that speakeasy feeling. The peaking through the hole in the door to the small library with the secret door into the speakeasy. Before entering they secure your phone in a locked pouch. You keep it with you but you can’t access it. Great idea to maintain speakeasy feeling and keep people off their phone and in the moment. I would love to host pictures of the inside, but as I said your phone is locked and pictures are forbidden. Great host photos tho. The drinks are great and bar staff is eager to please. Loved it and will be back.

Best Speakeasy I’ve been to. Great vibe, ambience, set of rules, no cellphones hence no real pics. Amazing concoctions and nearly all their flavors are house made. Have to wait a few minutes when not busy out front but it is worth it and part of the experience, you’ll see.

Where to start… This place is a hidden gem (hence speakeasy), the bourbon list is crazy extensive, there is something to ease even the most eccentric palates that are looking for something beyond Blanton’s. You won’t get disappointed at all, 11/22 is a must in Paso Robles, with a Great Gatsby atmosphere and limited capacity (yes, even before covid-19) this place really brings it home. They have an extensive bar, but before you go your own way with your drinks, you should give their signature drink list a try. The key lime gin fizz and the butter pecan old fashioned ( picture included ) will amaze you. Although be ware the gin fizz will take sometime to make. Enjoy another drink while waiting for your gin fizz. Look for the wooden door (picture included) right behind Papy Macgregor’s. You might have to wait a bit, but worth it
