Love Electric Gravy’s new “Never Empty Stomach” offering! It is essentially all you can eat, but in a way that feels thoughtful and curated rather than overwhelming. You can order your favorites while also using it as a chance to explore authentic dishes you might not normally try. The cocktail menu is also so good! Don’t sleep on the NA versions offered (they’re the best I’ve ever had).

It also makes the experience feel more special knowing the chef grew up in India and comes from a family with deep roots in the food biz.

They recently completely overhauled their menu about a month ago, and so I can’t speak to the past experiences but everything was top notch. We had an all you can eat with apps. Curries, tandoor. As an Indian guy, I will vouch that flavor and spice were spot on. Great presentation. Nice modern take on chaat. Good value honestly. Would absolutely come back

Came here with 2 children 7 & 4 at around 6-8pm. The Service was Amazing!! They were very Welcoming. The atmosphere was warmly lit with a great ambiance good music of all types. They don’t have an actual kids menu but my kids love the Grilled Butter Chicken & Cheese panini with fries and rice. We also ordered 2 Chicken Tikka Marsala & 1 Shrimp Tikka Marsala. 2 orders of Naan, 1 Virgin Mumbai. We were stuffed. They do automatically charge a 20% tip as part of your bill. You also can get a good deal on Groupon!! David was our Server and Bartender!! His drink was amazing and they offer Virgin mocktails for all of their drinks.

I’m not usually the kind of person who leaves reviews for restaurants, but this experience absolutely deserved one. The service and food my friends and I received were truly amazing.

I was visiting town, and it happened to be my birthday that day. My friends suggested trying this new Indian restaurant near the hotel we were staying at. It was very easy to find, and since we didn’t have a reservation, we just walked in. We were warmly greeted by the FOH Manager, Rish, who was incredibly polite, humble, and welcoming. He immediately found us a table and ended up taking care of us himself throughout the evening.

After bringing us water, he explained their new NES Thali experience in a very clear and professional way. Unfortunately we had a heavy lunch earlier that day, so we couldn’t do the full experience. When one of my friends mentioned it was my birthday, Rish took our drink orders and even brought us some prosecco so we could raise a toast. That small gesture made me feel incredibly special.

For drinks, we tried the Pudina Pani Margarita, Mumbai 75, and Whiskey Uncle — and they were all fantastic. I honestly have no words to describe the Pudina Pani Margarita. It had the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tart — everything you’d want in a great cocktail. Rish recommended it to me, and I’m so glad I listened.

For appetizers we ordered the Curry Queso, Samosas, Gobi Manchurian, and Curry Fried Chicken, and everything was outstanding. The Curry Queso in particular was something to die for.
By the time we finished the appetizers we were already pretty full, so we asked Rish for recommendations for something light for the main course. Instead of trying to upsell us, he honestly suggested that two curries with some naan would be perfect for the three of us. We ordered the Malvani Shrimp and Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan, and I can confidently say it was some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had.

Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better, Rish brought out Gulab Jamun with a small candle on top to celebrate my birthday. That thoughtful touch truly made my evening special.
I can honestly say that whenever I come back to Austin, I will absolutely visit Electric Gravy again — not just for the incredible food, but for the genuine hospitality and warmth that Rish and the team provided. That kind of service is hard to find these days.

Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures, but it was truly an unforgettable experience.

Thank you so much for hosting us, Team Electric Gravy

I cannot recommend the tadka Dal highly enough. That along with the vada pav were exceptional. The happy hour gravy dish was a complete bargain: $5 for a curry and rice.

Came here with some friends and have an overall pleasant experience but the food was a bit underwhelming. The 2 standouts were the fried paneer and the flan.

The Karachi chicken standalone dish and chicken tikka standalone dish were not bad but also not amazing. There wasn’t much sauce and it felt like a cross between dry and curry chicken. This isn’t a problem necessarily but a description under the items would help set expectations a lot. The flavor was so so, not bad, but not so good that we wanted to eat the whole dish.

The drinks and apps were the best part. If I came here again, I would probably just not order from the main dish menu.

The vibe was easy going and pleasant. The food came out a bit odd though. A few of us got the same dishes but they came out at vastly different times. But servers were nice ✨

Fun, casual, Indian inspired restaurant & bar serving up $5.00 happy hour food and drink specials from 5 to 7 pm. The Samosas and the French Fries were pretty good and crispy. A bit on a salty side though. The Margarita and the Mule specials were ok. A bit too sweet. The Kabutar cocktail was nice and refreshing.  The “Gravy of the Day” special comes with rice and was a really huge portion.  For $5 this is a good deal. The food quality and presentation was good enough for bar food , but not if you are looking for an authentic Indian restaurant.  The staff was super accommodating and friendly.  Free parking lot is in the back and parking is validated. We will definitely come back.

Such a cute place to eat. Our server was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. Neither me or my friend were super impressed by our entrees, but we definitely loved the curry queso. I would definitely try this place again.

I had an amazing experience at Electric Gravy. They recently introduced a new dish called “All You Can Eat,” and it’s definitely a great deal. It includes small portions of all the dishes they offer, so you can try a little bit of everything. It’s perfect if you want to explore the full menu without having to choose just one item. Plus, the price is very reasonable for everything that’s included.

The chicken tikka masala is absolutely delicious — full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and with a creamy texture that makes it irresistible. It was definitely one of my favorites.

The atmosphere is beautiful and very welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal. The customer service is super friendly and warm; they truly make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.

The prices are very affordable, the quality of the food is excellent, and I highly recommend this place if you want to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine and a unique dining experience. I will definitely be coming back!

Great concept by the former executive Chef at Sway. Austin is short on creative Indian food concepts. This place has a fun atmosphere and food is delicious! The curry queso is a must-order for the table!
