Very good food, fresh ingredients and homemade. The owner was so nice to us, he made a breakfast burrito just the way we wanted it. Great place to stop for food.

So happy to stop by here on the way to SLO from Monterey (via Hwy 101)! Friendly and fast service and excellent tasting tacos (we got the carnitas and asado). The melon juice was also very good and welcome on a hot day. Thank you, Juan!

Ceviche, Ceviche, CEVICHE – so fresh, so well seasoned, and they gave me a large for the price of a medium because they were already nearly sold out. Chips are crunchy and the quesobirria was spot on. Also the red salsa has a fiery depth of flavor I haven’t had since ‘nam

We took their shrimp tacos, birria taco and the shrimp plate. Everything was so good, especially the shrimp. Their red salsa is *chef’s kiss*.

This was a delightful surprise find! The food is delicious and the owner and staff very friendly. The burritos and ceviche are very tasty. So is the guacamole and salsa. We would definitely recommend El Toro and will stop again on our next trip to the Bay Area.

We stopped here on our way down to LA from San Francisco because it was right off the freeway and the pictures of the food looked good. Really glad we did! We got burritos, and they were outstanding and a really good price. The tortillas were perfect, the meat (I got asada, my wife got carnitas) was super flavorful and delicious, and just generally a great meal. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the food came out quickly. Also, the fresh roasted jalapenos that came as a side with the burritos were awesome. Nothing but positive things to say, and would highly recommend!

This is hands-down the best taco shop I’ve ever had. I’ve eaten a lot of tacos and this is by far #1. You definitely want to eat here if you’re in the area because I promise you will not be upset with your choice. The prices are amazing for what you get compared to everything else around. The place is super clean, the staff is amazing and the food is top notch. This is real Mexican food. So Grab you some now so you can enjoy all the goodness

Delicious! So so delicious! We had the Asada and Carnitas tacos. The meat was flavored well and the salsa was very tasty. Not too much heat, but tasty. If you want more heat, take a bite of the grilled jalapeño. It’s perfect. We also tried the house made chips and the shrimp ceviche. It was the perfect treat on a warm day. This place is a definite Must Try! We will definitely be back for the family style meals they offer To-Go.
