⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Valentine’s Tradition at El Toro!
There is something truly special about a place that feels like home for 40 years. We spent our Valentine’s weekend at El Toro off Bayway, and it reminded us exactly why this has been our go-to spot for decades. The atmosphere was perfect—warm, inviting, and that classic Tex-Mex vibe we love.
We kicked things off with a large bowl of their delicious queso and the Southwestern egg rolls, which were the perfect start. For the main course, I went with the Crispy Chicken Milanesa, and it was spot on. My wife had the Salazar Plato, and the kids were more than happy with their bean and cheese nacho plate. I also highly recommend the Summer Special—the combo of the queso tostada, bean tostada, and beef crispy taco is a timeless favorite. To toast to the occasion, we had a strawberry margarita and a beerarita, both mixed perfectly.
What really blew us away was the service. Our waitress, Nicki, was incredible and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. It felt like as soon as we ordered, the food was hitting the table! She also let us in on some desserts not listed on the menu—we ended up with the New York Cheesecake and some sopapillas. They were served warm and were the perfect ending to an awesome meal.

I had the best service ever thanks to Niki at El Toro on Bayway! From the moment we sat down, she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. She checked on us at just the right times, kept our drinks full, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and fun. You can really tell she cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. If you visit El Toro Bayway, definitely ask for Niki — she’ll make your meal even better. Highly recommend

Beef enchiladas so greasy it literally made me gag. The tamale was like clay texture and doughy. The fajita meat had the texture of Taco Bell meat. My order was to go and cold before I could eat it. I ordered the Monterey and we were eating within 5 mins. of picking it up. As we live right down the street.

This is a hidden gem . Small place, kinda hidden location. If ya don’t know it there you will miss it. Great food and award winning drinks. Love the deco of the place. Chips were fresh and light. The sauce was perfect. Not to hot but full of flavor. The shredded chicken tacos are my go to !
