This was an excellent mexican restaurant and it has been awhile since I’ve been to a good one.
As soon as I got in I was seated and they took my order as soon as I was ready. The server answered all my questions and was friendly.
The chips and salsa 5/5. It also came with mexican ranch. I personally dont like ranch but after trying their version is was sweet and amazing.
For my entree I order 3 street tacos el pastor with cheese at the bottom. 5/5
Don’t judge me but for the 2nd taco I dipped it in cheese dip and yes it was delicious. The 3rd one I poured both cheese dip and salsa on top of it and yes it was also delicious. Im the type of person that likes to try and mix different things together to see if it could possibly work and the dish definitely worked together.
For my drink I got water and a mango margarita. 5/5
You can avtually taste the mango. Ended up ordering a 2nd one.
For desert it was the chocolate volcano. 5/5
I was debating if I should get more ice cream or not and after trying it I finished the ice cream way faster than the chocolate part.
If anyone wants to eat delicious mexican food, this is the place to go. Especially around lunch time.

El Toro was busy as heck when we went (awesome for them!) so service was a little slower, but all of the workers were very nice. I got chicken enchiladas and a marg which hit the spot. Also love a restaurant that brings out chips and salsa right away. YUM!

The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and pretty fast. We love the queso to start. The salsa is chunky and not too zippy. The quesadillas and fajitas are great. The Texas Cadillac margaritas are the best. Celebrating birthdays there are the best! The staff sings, they wear sombreros and the fried ice cream is really good. Gracious!

El Toro totally hit the spot! The Pollo asado was juicy, full of flavor, and grilled just right. The tortilla chicken soup was just as impressive: rich, comforting broth with generous chunks of chicken, fresh avocado, crispy tortilla strips, and just the right touch of spice. It’s the kind of soup that warms you up and makes you feel at home. Super satisfying. The Flan was delicious Friendly service too. Definitely coming back!

While it did take a little while for our waitress to service the table, the food overall was pretty decent however I did find the chicken options to be quite soggy. (The soft shell tortilla was dripping from chicken moisture and the nachos had a pool of liquid at the bottom).
I definitely recommend the molejete and the margaritas. The free chips with salsa and queso also hit the spot!

Food was great. They’ve been closed because of staffing and ICE, but were open tonight. They were short staffed and service was slow. Food was delicious. The people working there did their best.

El Toro has been a classic establishment here in Champlin for years. Their food is delicious and the owner has always been so kind to stop by and say ‘hi’ when he’s there. I couldn’t recommend this more for a solid local neighborhood meal.

We tried to order food to go on sunday. My husband went and the business was closed. No sign on the dor with explanation. Anytime you call it just goes to voicemail and we cant get a hold of them to reverse thw charge. Don’t order online without getting a person over the phone first! I think some newer reviews may be faked or paid for.

I have been going to this place for a while since I’ve been in Champlin but I feel like every time we go back here the service has been just getting worse and worse and tonight unfortunately was the worst service we had the food is fine but the service we waited for about a half an hour before our order was taken we keep seeing the server Being in their phone instead of asking us. How are we doing and how was our food or our order overall I think I’m gonna try other places. I hope you guys do something about this.
