We went to this Mexican restaurant with our family for lunch. The service was good but there was a bit of a wait because of our huge family. The food was really good as well. I order a fajita plate on the kids menu with a sherly temple the only thing was that it took min after our food was out for them to bring tortillas, but other than that it is a good place to go for lunch and to hang out with your family!

Loved it! Our waiter was so nice and couldn’t thank him enough for helping us decide what to get. The food was amazing, and the entire restaurant was set up so nice. Will definitely be back!

Surprisingly, this place had it all. It is a very large restaurant with ample space, great food, courteous staff, and a cool vibe despite being directly on the side of the freeway. They made every accommodation that we requested, and it was definitely appreciated. We will be returning here for sure.

Had a gift card so decided to try them. We ordered take out and sat at the bar to wait on our order. Waited over 10 min for our second beer and they were not busy. Ordered the 70 dollar one pound of fajitas. Food came and still haven’t got our second beer. Fajitas were really enough for only 2. Portions are not worth the money and apparently got to be a regular to get good service. Will not go back and do not recommend.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. The atmosphere and setup is great. We had chips, salsa and fresh guacamole which were all on point. For my entree I had the brisket enchiladas and I would definitely order them again. Didn’t get to try and drinks but I highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

Really good food & nice ambiance! Love the windows in that restaurant, they’re beautiful. Had lunch there, the brisket enchilada and the seafood enchilada were both delicious! The house margaritas seemed a bit expensive ($10 each) but it’s been a while since I’ve had cocktails and I guess that’s an average price now. Overall a great experience, servers were awesome.

Hostesses were awesome, bartender and help were excellent, very helpful. The margaritas were perfect for the price… The fajitas were too under cooked for my preference, the refried beans were bland and lacked flavor.also you have to pay for each tortilla taco in your plate, so if you want a plate with two enchiladas one had it’s price two will cost you more???? Who eats just one enchilada… Mexican food should not be so expensive for rice and beans… overall great place to revisit.

If you are going to charge a premium for beef fajitas (flank cut), you better be marinating them and serving beef with flavor! I’m shocked how boring the beef fajitas are at this restaurant. I’m assuming most people are lathering their beef with queso and butter to hide the boring beef fajitas, but this is unacceptable from a Houston staple, IMO. The manager, who was very attentive and patient, confirmed they no longer pre prep their beef.

We had a slightly difficult time deciphering the menu, but Angel was very patient with us. The food was really good! I’d definitely eat here again if I’m ever in the area.

I highly recommend El Tiempo Cantina! The food is excellent. It is possibly the best Mexican food in Houston. There is definitely “Mama” Ninfa Laurenzo’s excellent influence on the food. The atmosphere and service are excellent. Try one of their superior margaritas!!! They have an abundance of different types of quality and favored tequilas. This restaurant is a must for dining out. Put UT down now on your to-do list!!!
