I’ve been coming here for years and have always gotten great food and service. The people running it are super nice and very helpful.

Here are some photos from when it was still Taqueria Tepatitlán in the 1970s & 1980s.

It once had a mural painted on the side depicting Parroquia de San Francisco de Asís in Tepatitlán, Mexico.

The parish is now about 250 years old. Construction began in 1742, took 33 years, and was completed in 1775.

Unfortunately, the mural and painted text on the outside of the building are no longer there.

Love this spot! Been here at least 5x.

Food is delicious.
People are really nice.
Nice open area.

Free unlimited sauce near the cash register. What more can one ask for? They say a good taqueria is one where local [Mexicans] go to dine. Well, this is that spot.

I think I’ve been to about 75% of the Mexican restaurants and Taquerias in the city, so keep that in mind when I say the El Tepa Taqueria put out the very best Tacos de Cerdo I’ve ever had. The flavors of the pork and salsa verde melded together perfectly with the hand made tortillas!
5 stars and worthy of a two hour drive…no shit! ☆☆☆☆☆

Great food and price. Large/generous portions. Salsas were fresh and delicious too. Definitely recommend the chicken mole in anything (I had it in the tostada salad). Carne asada was good too. The regular taco had so much meat on it I wondered at first where the tortilla was. Enchiladas also good. Most importantly of all, delicious refried beans.

This place easily beats out the famous Mission spots. You really can’t go wrong here, but my favorite is the super quesadilla with al pastor. It’s pretty much a riceless burrito with a generous serving of meat. The Al pastor is well seasoned, a little bit smokey, and very tender. The cherry on top is the open salsa bar with 3 excellent options (the orange is my favorite), and the prices are very reasonable.

Food had absolutely no flavor. Seems like all the do is chop up the ingredients and toss them in. No seasoning, bland, and not that tasty. In a place like the Mission, I expect so much more. The thing I found the most confusing in mushrooms on a fish taco. I had a shrimp taco and 2 pollo asado tacos. Will not be going back.

The employees need to learn to treat people better who constantly spend money with them; regular customers is what keeps your business going.
If I get a burrito bowl I want to see green, not white any kind of lettuce that you’re using that has white has no nutrients. We should have the option of mixed greens because if you’re getting a bowl you’re trying to stay a little healthy. I just didn’t like the energy.
You can’t get frustrated with people for them paying for what they want. Regardless to if you feel like something doesn’t go on a taco or a burrito; that’s not for them to dictate how other people eat. They get extra irritated if you watch them closely and kind of dictate how they make your food. They shouldn’t get irritated with you if you want lettuce in your burrito bowl first instead of meat.

The tacos here are so tasty and stacked up! Great serving sizes. The horchata was also greatly paired with the tacos. Enjoy!

We just did a trip to Mexico City and Oaxaca. This is as good as anything we’ve had anywhere in California, the southwest or in Mexico and better than most.
Fantastic food, quick service, and nice people. Well worth the stop.

Friendly staff and quite affordable pricing. Partner & I ordered one burrito together as an afternoon snack, and the staff offered to cut it in half and put it on two plates. Good taste and sauces, place was clean.
