We stayed at the sonnenalp for a week and had the best experience visiting the King’s Club everyday. The drinks were amazing and everyday we received incredible service, especially from Virag who was extremely attentive and made us feel very welcome. We love it here and cant wait to come back!

Located within the Sonnenalp the King’s Club is a great spot, with an authentic German feel, to sit down and have a drink after a long day of skiing or hiking. We’ll normally stop by the King’s Club for a drink before dinner at one of the Sonnenalp’s three restaurants on site. Their valet gives you 3 hours of free parking as long as you dine at one of the restaurants on property which is very nice!

Really disappointing experience. We were seated and completely ignored by both the waitstaff and the bartenders. No water, no free peanuts—nothing. Then another group came in after us and was immediately served with water, peanuts, and olives.
We tried to politely ask for water and were met with silence—our server never came back. I eventually went up to the bar myself, where the bartender looked right at me, ignored me, greeted someone else, and walked away.
It honestly felt like we weren’t welcome or didn’t exist. If you’re going to offer basic hospitality to some guests, it should apply to everyone. Won’t be returning.

Beautiful lounge w live music every night starting around 7. We refound songs we love but had forgotten, per the guitar soloist last eve. Perfect mellow place to have a nightcap, or even dinner + cocktails. Classic Bavarian wood architecture, intricate details, and the kindest staff you’ll ever meet. ✨

We spent the last 2 nights enjoying the music by Kevin and John! Wonderful musicians with great voices and a vast selection of music! Truly the best spot in Vail for live music! We ate dinner for the first time in Kings club and were totally blown away by the presentation! The meals were fantastic! I had the Bass and my husband the Filet….incredible! To top off both nights we had the sweetest most attentive server, Huthesia! We wish her all the best in her future and with her personality she will go far. All in all the Kings Club is Vail gem!

This is a wonderful spot to both have a meal as well as listen to great music. The seating is family style with plenty of sofas and coffee tables. Dancing is available, but the floor is carpeted, so not idea.

Dinner and drinks here was one of the best and most unique experiences I have ever had. The food and service were fantastic, and the music was incredible. The Fade Outs, a wonderful piano and cello duo, perfectly complemented the atmosphere.

It took 25mins for the server to tell us the wine we ordered was out of stock. They gave us a “comparable” bottle of RED that was freezing. The music was good but the service and the price did not align for vail. I would not go again or recommend anyone to visit. They did give us two free glasses after the fact. But still.. they were not comparable. Very disappionting especially for Vail.
