I love their chicken birria tacos and no one does it like El Sopon! Trust me, I’ve tried. I know chicken isn’t typical for birria, but it’s so good! I’ve also had the chicken tacos a few times. Also delicious, but less indulgent than the birria. Service is always prompt and kind and prices are reasonable. I wish they had a brick and mortar, but I’ll keep coming back when I’m in the area (from D.C.).

El Sopon is a stationary food truck located in a parking lot. There are three tables each with an umbrella that offer cover from the sun.
I pulled up on a Thursday midday and from ordering to in my hands it was about 20 minutes. I appreciated the person taking the orders was giving everyone a heads up on the wait times. If you want to reduce your idle time you can call ahead to order but know it will take about 20-30 minutes as well.
Menu is in español and English. They’ve got all the standards, tacos, tortas, burritos, had Salvi pupusas too… I use to shy away from places that did both tacos and pupusas because about 8 years back the experience in establishments that served both was always disappointing for this LA Mexican. But the game has changed!
I had some tacos de carne asada (to see how they executed on a standard). Good news, they’re legit! Another sign that you know it’s legit is when there is a bunch of raza pulling up too get food too.
I ordered a burrito with al pastor that was messy but hella good. I would order both again.
Meat was seasoned well, salsas were great, lime was dry (haha – good taqueros always have some dry limes on deck lol), food was bomb, would order both items again or try some new ones next time I’m back in the area! Al cien!

I’ve bought food here twice.And both times it has been excellent. The photo doesn’t do justice with how good the food actually is. Best Sopa I’ve had. Tacos are full and tasty!

I ordered the Birria tacos and a taco platter (only comes with 2 tacos and side of rice and beans).
Let me say that the Birria had got to be one of the best!!! I love the crunchy bits of the cheese on the taco shell and their consomé was so delicious I drank it all up
Packed with lots of protein too.
Was not expecting this place to be that great but I will be returning for more!!
I also got the horchata which was delicious!
They have chairs next to the truck if you want to eat there but no place to wash your hands so just be mindful of that.
There was a wait for the food though, I think I had to wait like 15-20 min. There were 3 other people ahead of me

Pupusas are so good! I had 2 pupusas beans and cheese. The beans are fresh and the cheese is pulling so nice. I also got the birria tacos which were solid. To top it off the agua de melon is 100% natural, a little too sweet for my tasting but I just dilute it and I have to my liking plus more to drink.
10/10 would recommend! Delicious!

Amazing pupusas. Pretty good tacos al pastor, i liked the pineapple. The birria tacos were good but I’ve had better. Long wait but its because they are busy because they are known for good Mexican food!!

I decided to get lunch from El Sopon honestly because I wanted to try ordering in Spanish since I am learning the language (slowly). I didn’t get to speak more than a little Spanish, but wow! The Super Quesadilla de Carnitas was amazing! ¡Qué maravillosa! I can’t believe I have driven past this place hundreds of times and never had it. I also had a refresco de melon, which was quite good. I’ll be back to order excellent food in bad Spanish again very soon.

Delicious authentic food, kind service, and a cozy atmosphere! I discovered they got a new owner a while back and the food is just as amazing as several years ago.
There’s a couple of tables outside with canopies if you want to eat there. My go-to right now is their steak tacos and horchata. Definitely recommend!

I’ve been in search for a great authentic taco truck in Maryland. And this one….. this one….. AMAZING. We got the natural juice, birria tacos and Sopes de Carne Asada. Birria tacos were good but drink and the sopes stole the show. We literally ordered more after we tried one, I was having ratatouille experiences in my brain. The flavors were exploding, my tastebuds were experiencing euphoric sensations. Now I’m hungry and want more Sopes also the food in the picture might look a little messy, it’s because the phone did not eat first this time.
