This place was absolutely horrible I would give no stars. They gave me a plate full of beans. Burnt chorozo. Food came absolutely cold. Rice was hard. And the chicharon was absolutely salty and hard. I can’t believe the owner said his wife is Colombian. This by far has to be the worse restaurant in all of San Antonio. The ground meat was definitely mystery meat. Please by all means done even waste your time going here. You have been warned ahead of time. The only thing that was good was the soda and thats because it came from somewhere else. Don’t waste your time or money going here. The owner offered me 10% off a bill of the food we didn’t even touch the nerve. The meat from the empanadas was spoiled.

Ximena has been our server in multiple occasions and the service and food are top notch. My wife who is Colombian choosed this restaurant for her 39th birthday, most of the guests were picky gringos who never ate Colombian food and every one enjoyed the food, specially the churrasco with the chimichurri sauce and the Camarones con salsa de coco, the fish is good but a little messy to eat.

Our waiter Edinson was very attentive and honest about the food. He made excellent recommendations. We tried the menu of the day. It was delicious. We loved the homemade “chorizo” and the “empanada de lechona” as well as how complete and delicious the “corrientazo” was. We are definitely coming back!

The best Colombian food in San Antonio. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and filled with the comforting aromas that remind you of Colombia. The service was outstanding; the staff is friendly, attentive, and always willing to explain each dish with a smile.
The food was absolutely amazing: authentic flavors, generous portions, and a seasoning that truly represents the best of Colombian cuisine. Every detail—from the presentation to the quality of the ingredients—shows real care and dedication.
The place is cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, making the whole experience even better. I loved El Punto Colombiano and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended.

As I walked in I noticed the place was clean, well lit and looked relatively new. They had a liver and onions special so I thought let’s give it a try. I also ordered a mango milkshake. The waitress was very helpful and patient with me explaining many things on the menu. My drink came out right away and with one sip I could tell this experience was going to be really good. The mango milkshake was amazing. Next came a piping hot bowl of soup. The aroma from the soup was like a vegetable and beef. One spoon of the soup and I could tell this was really good soup. Found out what I thought was potato in the soup was yuca or cassava. This mix of beef and cassava and other spices in the soup made an excellent appetizer. When my plate came out, I could tell it was right off the grill. This plate had the pressed liver and onions but also came with a nice pasta, rice, and patacones. Everything on my plate was delicious and I made sure to finish it all. My experience here is highly recommend if you want authentic Colombian cuisine. Just a note they definitely speak Spanish here.

This is my first and definitely last time coming here. The portion size for a Bandeja Paisa is very little, the sausage was hard and burnt. The steak was small and beans had no flavor whatsoever, the rice was hard and the fried pork was very hard. We were told the kids meal would feed two kids for $15 and barely fed one. They only have the thin cans for their sodas or a 2 liter and no longer offer a soda as an option for their kids meal, only juice. When paying, they tried to charge me more than what the check stated, when confronted they said it didn’t include taxes when it clearly stated on the check there was tax included.
Response to owner:
Your statement suggesting that I would need to be Colombian in order to understand your dish is inappropriate and misguided. Ethnicity is not a requirement to recognize when food is burnt or of poor quality.
At no point was I disrespectful to your staff. Even when missing portions had to be addressed, I handled the situation calmly and respectfully. Additionally, the discrepancy between the prices listed on the receipt and the higher amounts charged at the point-of-sale system is concerning and unacceptable.
As a business owner, it’s important to receive customer feedback professionally rather than personally, as constructive feedback is an opportunity to improve operations and customer experience. I hope you take this into consideration moving forward.
Best of luck to you.

The first time I bought maduro with guava and cheese the portions were generous. The second time, I guess they were out of plantains, when I opened the containers at home there were slivers of maduro . . . I imagine they took one and divided it into three or four and charged me as if there was one complete maduro. I decided to purchase my own and make them at home, it doesn’t take much.
The rest of the food was delicious.
