My daughter and I went there last week. She had been wanting a chopped cheese for so long and we haven’t been to New York in a long time and did not realize this place was near us so we tried it out. The empanadas were very delicious, big, and were full of meat. They could’ve been drained a little better from grease, but I do love the fact that they were nice and crunchy. I had the naked jerk wings, and the flavor was amazing! Nice and spicy, juicy, and the skin had a nice crunch. The only thing that I thought they could work on was that in an order of wings, they all should be roughly about the same size. I had a couple big ones, and then I had a couple really really small ones. If you’re paying by piece, if they’re not all the same size, you could give an extra piece or two to compensate for giving someone a few small wings. Just my opinion. My daughter got the Philly chop and I got the domi chop and we both loved our sandwiches very much! The role was nice and crunchy They were very flavorful and filling. Overall, we enjoyed the food very much and we do want to come back again soon! Everyone in the restaurant was extremely nice, but I will note the one girl asked us if we needed anything, but she actually was walking by our table and bumbling a little bit and I didn’t realize she was actually talking to us because she didn’t actually stop at the table and it wasn’t really crowded. At the time that we were there, the music was being played at a nice level where you could hear it and enjoy it, but still also have a conversation and the lighting was subdued. It was relaxing and enjoyable. It looks as though it is a lounge later in the evening so at that point, it could be a little bit louder, but we went about maybe 6 PM. We were glad to find a nice casual restaurant that didn’t serve the same old pizza and cheesesteaks and does stay open later. Even though we were there early on our visit, it is good to know that they have later hours then a lot of the restaurants in the same neighborhood.

I just got a cheesesteak and loaded cheesesteak fries from here for $.17 thanks to the inKind app. The app just gave me two $25 off $25 offers over the past few days. Not many places use the app though. I ate the cheesesteak waiting for the bus, so only the fries made it home for a picture. Both were good. The fries really were loaded.

As formal owner of Ponticelli’s Pizzeria in Levittown, Pa, I have to say that Chop Cheese has some really great sandwiches! The Domi sandwich was great, and just when I thought I had their best sandwich in my mouth, I learned that the Salmon sandwich was even greater! Omg! Spectacular! And this is coming from someone who sold Chop Cheese himself! Their menu has other sandwich varieties that I will return to enjoy. I heard the wings are great so that’s also on my list too! Place was nice looking, neatly designed. Love the small stage setup for karaoke and comedy shows. Hopefully, I get a chance to intervene those events. The two ladies in front of the house were very friendly. The place was great, and I wish them all the success they deserve for such great food. Anyone who hasn’t tried this place has got to go to Chop Cheese!!!! You don’t know what you’re missing!!!

I visited this resturant and lounge for the first time 5-17-2025. Hubby and I were looking for a spot to eat and a lot of places were already closed. It would be 11pm soon. We ran into this place while walking the ave. It is a family owed business with lovely ladies serving you natural fruit drinks, fresh made food never frozen or pre made. We got a rise and shine smash burger 9.5/10. We got the chicken renders 10/10. We got the old bay cheese crinkle fries 8/10. We got passion fruit and pineapple natural fruit juices both were great 10/10. Finally the famous philly chop cheese empanadas 10/10. The food is fresh and hot and great prices for the quality too. The owner Charita was such a sweetheart and she mentioned they book for private events. When they are open they are open until late hours. I recommend them for sure. We got all of this and only spent like $50. So very affordable. Per person i would say it depends on what you order. Anywhere from $10-20 or more per person. They added new menu items too ❤️

This is a crazy underrated gem in the Northeast. Everything I had from here was delicious, especially ‘the one’ chopped cheese. The empanadas were also exceptional. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Plus they’re a BYOB with hookah and karaoke on Fridays. What more could you want?

My son found this quaint restaurant for us to go to for lunch. We were greeted by 3 Beautiful women who gave us wonderful service. We ordered the Chop Buffalo Chicken Fries, Chopped Chicken Fries, Dat Norf Philly Chicken sandwich, Chop Salmond sandwich, Thai Chili wings and the chicken & cheese Empanada, with Limeade Lemonade juice and Passion fruit juice.
Everything was delicious!! Great flavor, food was fresh. The atmosphere was giving positive vibes, and the restaurant is clean. I enjoyed having lunch with my children here and dinner with my spouse as well. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, stop by everything in the menu is good!!

Came here for a birthday celebration. We were very disappointed . We were the only people in the restaurant and it took the young girl 20 mins to bring ginger ale and a lemonade. She was on her phone and walking back and forth . Never came back to the table . The food order took another 30 mins when we got up to walk out they offered to bring the food to the table . No forks , had to request napkins twice, the salmon steak looked like tuna fish, the bread was hard. The whole experience was disappointing. Spent over $ 50 trying to support a black business and had to go home and cook my own food . SMH

I came here w some friends to take advantage of the byob & karaoke. It was a fun time. Food is good and has flavor thank goodness. A lot of different establishments lack flavor in their food, but this spot didn’t. My only issue was what I ordered vs what I received wasn’t right. My party & I was under the influence so we didn’t make a big fuss. It was youngsters taking order’s & brining food out so Im not sure where the mistake took place. I will return & hopefully this time the orders are accurate!!

Update: Sorry to say ownership has changed and so did the place. The service is ok at best and the food also fell of in quality and taste but the prices went up. Sorry to see a good spot go down.—
They have something great here and brought something new to Philly I never knew we needed. I love a good cheesesteak, but this a nice change of pace and at great prices. The spot has a great look and vibe. The owner, Gaby, was a super nice guy with a lot of passion for what he is doing, and that shows in the food. I had their original chop cheese and just wow. The bread was perfectly toasted to give you that great crunch and still sturdy enough to keep everything together, and you need that because that meat, mmm, so juicy and flavorful. As a group, we also got their big platter that came with what seemed like the whole kitchen. A chop cheese, some of the best wings I’ve ever had, some Buffalo egg rolls, and a mountain of perfectly cooked cheese fries. To top it off, the place lends itself to making it feel like you can just vibe with other guests on its layout allows. At one point, we even started passing around the remote for everyone to play their favorite songs. Great food, great place, a definite must go. Gaby, it was a pleasure coming to you spot and wish you all the best luck!
