While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco’s delivery of fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way – on our signature open-flame grills – then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco in Inglewood,CA, we believe that when real food meets real fire the result is great taste that will keep you coming back again and again.
Fast-food chain outpost known for Mexican classics made with fire-grilled chicken.

Just a quick review here as I was not that impressed during my visit here. I stopped into the El Pollo Loco as I have eaten at this chain many times. On this visit, I did have some communication issues with the people taking my order. This wasn’t a case of a language barrier, just an employee who couldn’t quite grasp what I wanted to order. I walked into this location as I was staying across the street at a hotel. I didn’t want anything too heavy as I was heading to the beach for a nice walk and hopefully a run before dark. I was ordering from the under 500 cals menu which I have eaten from before at other locations. I ordered the Black Bean Chicken Bowl, the Homemade Tortilla Soup and a piece of a la carte Chicken breast. The first two items went without a hitch and but the employee kept trying to sell me a chicken meal even though I had stated many times, I just want one piece of chicken. I had to tell her that I was eating alone and that I only wanted one piece of chicken three or four times. I then saw someone meticulously pick out a piece of chicken breast for me and I asked if it was white meat. They replied yes and that it was just made fresh….hhhmmm it looks like it was sitting with other pieces of chicken that had been out for a while sitting under the heat lamp. Anyway, I sat down and started on the Chicken bowl which wasn’t too bad, but it seemed like it had been made a long time before I ordered it. The avocado was mushy and the chicken was on the salty side. The soup which I have had before wasn’t bad but it was a little bland. The chicken, however, was dry and hard. I broke my plastic knife or fork trying to eat it. I brought it back to the counter for another piece and the young lady told me that they don’t refund chicken lol. I told her again that I just wanted a fresher piece of chicken again she retorted with “we don’t give exchanges”. Anyway, I left the chicken on the counter, drank my soup, and headed out to the Beach as I had had enough. Please note this was my experience and it may not be yours. El Pollo Loco, for the most part, has always had good food. This time Attitude and rock hard chicken ruined it for me.
I was denied restroom by a stupid guy serving.
