I love this place. They changed up the menu and I always get the nachos with carne asada. Not just your regular nachos. They put a crema on it with jalapeños and tons of carne asada. The margaritas are great! Sometimes we do the pitcher or just a glass. The corn riblets, empanadas, duck fat fries, arepas (especially the pabellon) are fire!

Each Salvadorean restaurant seems to have a slightly different menu and that is fun to order from a larger variety of dishes that their chef makes. So I tried the arepa, with pastor. The menu suggested. Fried over grilling. Wow, great crunch, flavor and the meat was delicious. Another dish caught my eye, identified as a new addition, a birria ramen bowl. It came topped with crispy tortilla strips which I could not stop eating, so I took a picture and you won’t see the strips. The noodles were great and the broth had a nice element of red enchilada sauce that I drank up. Then I found a nice chunk of slow cooked beef at the bottom of the bowl. I would say their food was thoroughly enjoyable and I will go back!

This is an excellent pan-Latin America restaurant that has menu offerings ranging from Venezuela to Mexico. (Arepas, Empanadas, Tacos, and Latin plates). Excellent cocktails, food is made with care and not overly filled with grease or fillers, the setting is SUPER casual but the food comes with higher quality than I would have expected. Prices are very fair and you get a good deal for amazing food and cocktails.

Food was amazing. Unlimited free chips and salsa I had the Burrito Mexicano it was amazing! It’s literally a burrito with chicken and steak. The only reason I think this restaurant deserves 4 stars is because the Mango Margarita hardly tasted like mango and felt like there was too much tequila.

Update: I came back here and sampled what is now my favorite drink in the east bay, the RANCHERO, is now my first place adult-oriented superdrink in the east bay, with my other favorite drink here being the Arabian Knight served at Zaytoon on Solano.

Fantastic little spot in Berkeley. Arepas and corn appetizer were delicious and they have a large selection of mezcal. The patio in the back is a great place to chill with friends. Would come back next time I’m in the area.
