We just moved to Delaware 2 weeks ago and this is the first time we went out to eat. We came from Virginia which in my opinion isn’t the best. We are originally from California which has superb Mexican food ! El Nopals tacos, rice and beans and my husbands enchiladas were FANTASTIC ! We will be back. Wonderful food service and atmosphere ❤️❤️❤️

Service: greeted with kindness and hospitality. My waitress was very kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Everyone there was friendly. Awesome service.
Atmosphere: very clean and spacious.
Food: quality was great. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious! This is coming from someone who loves authentic Mexican food.
This is now my family’s go to place for homemade food. It’s hard to find good food in Dover. Glad I found them. We dined in and also did takeout. The price is great. Check it out for yourselves.

Everyone was friendly and the restaurant was clean and had a nice ambiance. However, the tacos were not very good. I also ordered a $9 house margarita and it had mostly ice. I don’t think I will be back.

absolute gem! this place never misses, no matter what item you decide to try on their menu, and how many times you go. had the tamales for the first time here today, and the pork was cooked to perfection! the sizes you get for everything are amazing and you can’t beat the prices. we will always come here whenever we find ourselves in Delaware. we love you El Nopal!!!

Food was okay. But after we left and checked the receipt, we realized that the lady added an extra 10% on our bill for tips. And when we paid the machine asked for tips again. We totally tipped for 30%. It’s not good to play with customers like this. We won’t go back anymore.

Poor service, lady held door for me and my pregnant wife. Was in line ordering food, the lady that was taking our ordered stopped us in the middle of ordering to help the lady behind us that held the door for us. Food is really good but showed me she didn’t respect my dollar. So we left, Highly disappointed and will not be spending no more of my money here!

I ate here for the first time today and I’m honestly speechless. I’ve eaten alot of tacos at alot of different places, and these just took first place. I got the birria and the al pastor, both mind-blowingly delicious. I went inside to place a to-go order of 8 tacos (4 of each). The nice girl who took my order told me it would be about 12 minutes, but it felt like much less than that. The side of sauce the birria comes with is so savory and perfectly compliments the taco and I wish I had a gallon of it. The al pastor is so tender and flavorful, I wish it was bottomless. Both varieties came with the perfect amount of cilantro and onion. Another thing I was very happy to see is the lime wedges! All too often I get dried up sad little lime wedges with my tacos, but these were some phat limes and were so juicy, perfect for squeezing over tacos!
This place also has a great selection of jarritos! I don’t see the guava one in stores too often anymore so I had to get one while I was here today.

Very clean establishment and ample parking. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, I went there to try their flan. Based upon pictures of the menu people have submitted, I saw there might be up to four different kinds. When I arrived they said they only had chocoflan. Looking at their website I could see that the chocoflan looked really good. I ordered it and the horchata. As you can see from the pictures, the menu picture and the website picture did not look anything like the piece of flan I got. The cake and flan mixture was meh. I would never order that again. The horchata on the other hand was very good. They also gave me chips and salsa which were pretty good too. I will come back at another time and try their food items.
